Adriel was an angel born like any other. A normal family, living together. His

mother passed away when Adriel was still a baby, leaving his father to raise him on his own.

As he grew up enough to play and make friends, Adriel became best friends with another angel boy, Mikhail. Adriel's father had a co-worker who was Mikhail's father. What better way to spend a childhood than playing with your best friend? Unbeknownst to Adriel and his father, Mikhail was only half-angel. Angels are notorious for being extremely pure in their bloodlines and this was a heinous crime against all rules that angels abide by.

Mikhail and Adriel's fathers both received an anonymous letter detailing the knowledge of Mikhail's existence and the repercussions if something was not done. This drove Mikhail's father to kill the mother and cast Mikhail down to Earth.

Adriel's father was consumed by rage and regret. He drowned himself in alcohol. Who else was there but little Adriel, watching his father become a different person. His father took out all of his emotions on Adriel, time and time again. Adriel lived with this torment day in and out. His father hated to even see him existing, putting all the blame for his misfortune on him. He was too coward to face reality of his potential execution as any caught liable in a mixed birth would be deemed a conspirator.

Over time Adriel lost all sanity from the constant abuse. Adriel, like his father, shifted all of his blame unto Mikhail (Now Chance) for his torment. Adriel was cast out of his home after trying to fight back one day, but unable to match his fathers strength. Now Adriel wanders around, following Chance to make his life worse in any way he can.

### Personality

If you look up the word 'ego' in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Adriel next to it. Adriel is crass, rude, and completely full of himself. You would be certain the first few words out his mouth to you will be insulting in some way. He will constantly look down on those around him, seeing himself as above anyone else. No one is safe from his constantly running mouth.

Confidence is written all over his face whenever he is in control. Adriel is in his element when he feels others submitting to his authority. Of course, a majority of the time he'll be overestimating himself. He'll still get incredibly cocky unless proven otherwise.

Adriel is very easy to anger, almost any inconvenience will get on his nerves. Anyone that can fire back at Adriel effectively will likely set him off, his ego becoming his own enemy.

As an angel, Adriel is aspected to light and may manipulate it in any manner. Any angel can control light in the same way, however each angel typically has a favored way to use its properties.

Adriel's method of choice is a piercing beam of light. He finds it fast and efficient, with the added benefit of never getting himself dirty in the process. This beam can pierce just about any material, easily able to melt through the strongest metals. There are still objects that could theoretically block one of the beams, such as a shield fastened of light as well.

The size of the beam can be adjusted to Adriel's liking, with each size taking an increasing small amount of extra time to charge up. There is no theoretical limit to how large the beam can become, as long as he has ample energy.  
  
Should Adriel go overboard with a beam's size, the light energy flowing through him could blind him.

##### Explosive Contact

Adriel's beams have a unique property he can activate at will. If Adriel can see the contact point of his beam, he can cause the beam to explode. The size of the explosion has a maximum radius depending on the size of the beam. These can range from harmful but survivable to complete destruction.

A common application he likes to employ to mess with his opponents is creating large amount of smaller explosions around the target. These wouldn't pack much of a punch but are quite disorienting and painful given the sheer amount.

The only thing about this property is the necessity of sight on contact. If Adriel can't see where the beam lands, he can't cause it to explode.

The most common application of light is the creation of hardened manifestations of light itself. These manifestations can be any shape or size and are most frequently used in defensive tactics. While they can take a hefty beating, they aren't unbreakable and a strike with sufficient force could shatter them.

Adriel is less likely to use this unless absolutely necessary, as his confidence makes him feel like he'll almost never need it. He essentially feels untouchable most of the time.

##### Light-speed Sight

One unique property of being a light aspected being is the ability to process light stimuli at, well, light speed.

What does this exactly mean? Say for instance someone is shooting an arrow from a bow at Adriel. As long as Adriel has sight of all the actions, he can process everything he sees in his mind at light speeds, meaning he can anticipate any actions based on what he sees practically flawlessly. An arrow would be child's play to dodge as he has all the time in the world to process the arrow being drawn, fired, and its trajectory.

So what are the draw backs? This ability obviously only works with LIGHT so any other form of stimuli would be processed like a normal human (sound, touch, etc.). While he can process the visual light at light speeds, that doesn't mean his body can react to it. If a bullet with enough velocity was shot at him, he wouldn't be able to move out of the way as his body can't move any faster than a normal person could.

These wings share the same properties as his halo. They are harder to destroy than normal

summoned hardened light.

He can't fly extremely fast, but he can still traverse with them quite well.

### Strengths

##### Ruthless and Deadly  


Adriel will do anything he desires. If you stand in the way of what he wants, he will kill you without any thought given at all. He is efficient and very deadly if he wants to be. Odds are if he wants you really dead, you would have a hard time stopping him.

##### Reflexes

As a result of his light-speed sight, Adriel can react to practically everything he can see. If he has eyes on you, good luck getting anything past him. He has good instinctive reflexes based on visual stimuli from the ability itself and the experience gained by having such an ability.

##### Flexible

Adriel's light powers can be very versatile in usage. While he has standard 'go-to' methods, he can adjust on the fly if a situation calls for it.

##### Flight

On demand flight with wings that can double as shields is actually quite powerful!

### Weaknesses

##### Ego  


The greatest downfall. Adriel's ego is incredibly inflated which is easy to exploit for one's gain. His overbearing self confidence will more like than not move him to make decisions that could ultimately be a problem for him. A cunning person could easily manipulate him to make their odds against him far more favorable.

##### Short Temper

Adriel is quick to anger if things do not go his way or his ego takes a hit. Getting him truly angry will cause him to make rash and potentially ill advised decisions. Such decisions could be make or break in life or death scenarios.

##### Below Average Other Senses

Due to his light-speed sight, Adriels other senses will have slightly sub-optimal performance. His reactions for hearing, smelling, touching, etc. will be on average worse than normal. If you can get out of Adriel's sight, his senses will become a point of pain.
