Backstory


A former idol that lives in the world literally powered by fame. He chose to quit the lifestyle after a falling out with his leader and after much allegations pinned in his social media. He would later rejoin the content creating scene as a crimefighter and a streamer and combine the two jobs to make a good living. 

 

Personality


Cocky - Unintentionally Rude - Mischevious - Confident - Reckless - Entertainer

 

Never a dull moment with this guy. While he is bold and captivating and able to brighten the mood, he can be unintentionally rude and a cocky brat at times by propping himself up. He can be a glory seeker especially when it comes to the comparison of feats. And his confidence doesn't always get taken seriously. He's also very blunt with situations and uses it to criticise people of what their doing. Though majority of time it's not for constructive criticism. He's also very aware of the tropes that people can have in his world and uses them to describe a situation.

 

It's not an unfounded trait though. After losing everything in the idol scene, he has developed a desire for wanting to be noticed in the world again. He used to be a fun child that loved to play tricks on people. But though rare he still does from time to time with other people in good fun. It's a reminder of the good old days when he was with his old friend group in the idol biz.

Lightning Body Transformation

Can transform into his Novalian form which basically turns him into an embodiment of lightning/stars. That's not to say you can't touch him since he's still a physical entity, but he can hurt you a lot. The body is somewhat malleable in transformation too since he can conjure sabers through his limbs.

Super Speed

A given for any Novalian or at least Novalian hybrid. He can attain great speeds when in his Novalian form.

Viralium Artes

These are skills that anyone in Hikaru's universe can use help stand them out. They are basically Artes in RPGs such as the Tales Of and Xenoblade series. While by themselves they aren't anything special, stringing them together in combos helps make the attacks stronger. Hikaru's case relies more on pressuring and rushdown and can be used in the air if need be. The amount of supporters dictate what moves can be used. Critical Time Moves are only usable once per fight and after use, the user can't use it again.

People in his world tend to have at max 20 of them, not him just yet.

Strengths


Agility and Speed

True to his online name, he is a very fast and agile fighter. Being able to move on his feet and look good doing it may not be the most common trait, but he especially makes it work for adding style in his moves.

Environmental Adaptation

He can work well with any environment. While it does take time for him to get fully used to a current environment, he can get fairly quickly accustomed to it. Rocky terrain? Just use the cracked surfaces as jumping points. Surrounded by a hall? Wall jump to the top. Stuff like that.

Dual Wielding

He can fight with both hands armed to the teeth with his saber limbs. It can also apply to held weapons too since when it comes to combat, he is ambidextrous.

Tenacity

His stubborn to never give up in a fight leads him to be a tenacious opponent. He can pressure you with a chain of attacks and if they miss, can tire out his foes.

Weaknesses


Power Tether

While Hikaru can be tremendously powerful as an entity of lightning, he's only this way if the masses support him at the given moment. While in the colosseum battles, that's where he'll shine best, he's helpless and relegated to base power unless someone is out there supporting in the cam.

Recklessness and Overconfident

Due to his cocky and his vanity seeking attitude, he can get too full of himself in a fight. This makes for room for the opponent to strike when Hikaru's not paying attention to the scene.

Insecto/Arachnophobia

He HATES bugs and is mortally terrified of them. Especially moreso with spiders since a multitude of them bit him by a result of bullies from back in elementary school. If it's in a video game or virtual one, that's fine.

Glass Cannon

For as volatile as Hikaru can be, he's not really good with tanking hits. He can block sure, but he'll really feel levels of hurt when he isn't careful.

Development Reference


Round 1:

It's a showtime splash as Hikaru shows off in the field. He would easily earn some ire from the opponents declaring in the opening ceremony that he'll win and earns the ire of the other contestants, but proves in the first round he's not all talk. The masses wind up supporting him, but the other contestants hold doubts about him in the tournament.

Round 2:

Hikaru is questioned on why he is fighting for this tournament. He gets questioned in the next round about his fame being reunited by forced isn't any different from running away, but brushes it off as pain that's wanted to go away. While winning or losing with those doubts, he develops another sense of selflessness that lies beyond giving the people of the Regnum Caverns earning a place in life. That being to let them hone on being more considerate of what people think back in his world.

Round 3:

Hikaru decides to give up his wish for the sake of his big brother's. Simply because he realizes that his wishes, while he knows are selfish, are also just a sign of running away from his problems. So upon realizing this, he lets Ryujin take the wish should they win so that he can be able to connect his kingdom's people with the families they've been separated with. And it's a sign that states how far he's come. He'll earn the respect of the rest of the masses much like he has back in his time as captive of the Regnum Caverns in hard work.

A former king of an underground city of test subjects. After meeting his brother in Hikaru Hoshi via a formerly kidnapping incident to keep his people safe, he rewrote the incident to be a cry for help. After giving the Regnum Caverns the officiation of being part of the society Hikaru's world lives in today, he was taken in by his family and works as a wrestler.

Backstory


He used to be a kid living in the planet known as Scalarius, he was one of many kidnapped test subjects that forced him and his would-be people to Earth for Clementia Labs. And in retaliation upon arriving on Earth. He would months later charge an escape plan that resulted in him awakening his kaiju powers. This destroyed the facility and eventually was taken in by an elder skeletal orca assassin named Orque Raphael. Who had been in his shoes before.

 

Realizing that the people need a place to live, Ryujin with Orque as his guide, he was dubbed the King Of Regnum Caverns and founded a city inside the cavernous depths. It wouldn't be until a boy named Hikaru will this life in secret come to an end. Though the kingdom was exposed by Clementia Labs truly, because of the press giving the Regnum Caverns giving good name, Ryujin was happy that he and his people now have a place in this society of fame. These days, Ryujin takes up work as a wrestler known as Bravagon.

Ryujin is a jovial man who loves to boast about his strengths. And due to his gratitude with Hikaru giving his people a new lease in life, he cherishes his adoptive family so much with a lot of noogies and hugs given to the brother especially. Despite this, he can appear tough and serious when getting into a fight.

 

Not only does he exhibit solid leadership given his time as a king, he's an honorable man to boot, with his wrestling Face being one of reverent glory. At least he tries to be. He can throw real blows, but outside of scumbags who never really change for the better or never have standards at least, he isn't the type to kill anyone without good reason. Though he can appear as a show off even though he does have the strength to back it up.

Abilities


Overwhelming Strength

While not a unique strength, Ryujin carries immensive strength whether in the ring and moreso in his kaiju form

Flame/Lava Breath

A classic staple move of every dragon character. Though his flames are stronger as burst shots rather than the usual beams of fire. He also has a lava variant.

Fast Burrowing

He can dig at really fast speeds with his super powerful claws. It's more powerful with his kaiju form, but it's strong enough to cut through up to materials as strong as steel.

Kaiju Form

He can basically turn into a giant monster as his moves become much more powerful. This form is only ever used in emergencies cuz he wants to avoid collateral damage as much as possible.

Smoke Recovery

While it does little, smoke is actually healthy for Ryujin and can slightly recover faster when inhaling smoke.

Viralium Artes

Much like Hikaru, Ryujin has his own kit Viralium Artes. He's newer to the scene, so he has less to work with.

Strengths


Surprisingly Great Leadership

He may not look like it, but given his time as The King Of Regnum Caverns, he's surprisingly a great leader figure despite how reckless he can be.

Tenacity

Much like Hikaru, he too is also a tenacious opponent although moreso with strength in heavy hits rather than a series of blows. Harder is how he puts it.

Sized Strength

Pretty much a given anytime that Ryujin is in his kaiju form. And his attacks are stronger to boot given the kaiju form as an added bonus. 

Tank

He can take heavy hits pretty well. And it complements to his powerful attack power as well. His tough scales help sell that image well.

Weaknesses


Honorable to a fault

While Ryujin is a very honorable man, this is a fault that can blindside him from behind..

Temper Rage

If he ever gets into a temper, that would lead to Ryujin being more and more irritated at the opponent. It makes him lose control of himself, but not to the point where he'll go feral.

Ground Fighter

Ryujin's more powerful in the ground, so fighting in the air isn't exactly a viable option. He can take on midair opponents, but it'll be a challenge for him.

Attack Charging

For some of his stronger variations of the moves he has, he has to charge them up for them to work. He's not completely adapted to the Viralium, so he's still learning how to fight with it at all times rather than all at once.

To be honest, making Ryujin was honestly straightforward since I really loved the whole A Boy And His Monster trope. I wanted to play around that but make him a big bro my main character can rely. Though he takes an assist role, he is still a fun guy to be around.

A woman willing to do anything to ensure no one will suffer like she did. Capable of extreme selflessness and extreme violence alike.

 

Banafsaj Safi is an operative belonging to a mysterious organization known as PARMA which exists beyond known dimensions. This organization fights other multidimensional groups in a war known as the Ascendancy War. Their main goal is to obtain fragments that are the key component in establishing utopias freed from "human" flaws (greed, hate, scorn...). When discovered to be an anomaly, Banafsaj was recruited by PARMA to become a multidimensional operative, responsible for completing various tasks around the multiverse related to the war. It is a brutal field of work, but one that she has fallen in love with.

Proceeding a successful incursion on the Crossroads to retrieve a fragment, some surviving soldiers of PARMA were mercifully captured by the God Eater. She has offered to release a group of twenty-two early so long as Banafsaj emerges victorious from the Summer Leagues Tournament. Any other wishes would be rendered useless due to her anomalous nature. Banafsaj has eagerly accepted. Whether that decision is due to the operative's good-willed nature or unseen insecurity is yet to be determined. What can be determined is Banafsaj's willingness to rend herself and her competition apart to ensure her fellow soldiers can continue to fight and bring a new era to their home dimensions and ultimately the multiverse as a whole.

Backstory


Banafaj Safi

Banafsaj’s childhood is a sensitive topic and not one she is keen to bring up. Any requests for elaboration are often denied. All that is known is at 17, Banafsaj would test positive for being an anomaly, leaving her old life behind to serve as a multidimensional operative for PARMA. After undergoing 17 years of extensive training in various basic and specialized fields of combat, she was deployed and has been fighting in the Ascendancy War for the past 5 years.

Psyche


Overview

The general psyche of Banafsaj is best described as aggressive, enthusiastic, outgoing, and brutally honest. Banafsaj is a woman whose traits revolve around her ability for violence and compassion. Initially, she seems to possess the mannerisms of a bubbly, outgoing socialite who loves to talk with anyone, anytime. The type of person to smile through anything that comes her way. She is that undoubtedly, but has an incredibly direct, violent aspect of her personality that will show in sustained conversation. When prompted to add her opinion to a conversation, Banafsaj will speak her mind, regardless of how anyone feels about it. If her diction happens to conflict with anyone in the room, she will verbally or physically argue to prove her point. The status of who she is talking to is irrelevant. What is relevant, is that they are wrong, which is something that has to be corrected immediately. Banafsaj has opinions and intends to die by them unless proven otherwise. She is not an unreasonable conversationalist, using and listening to logic, just an aggressive one.

Strengths

  • Optimist: Relentlessly optimistic in the darkest of times – Few situations can truly bring Banafsaj down. She can focus on the positive aspects of any scenario to overcome her psyche in the most bleak of moments.
  • Tenacious: Motivated to crush any goal in front of her – Banafsaj has an unnaturally high motivation to complete tasks when given them, absent of how poor or favorable the odds of success are. She sets herself apart by continuing to work when everyone else is exhausted. This devotion is often admired by authoritative figures due to its value.
  • Perfectionist: An individual looking to do everything with excellence – It is not just consistency in day-to-day work that Banafsaj prides herself on but quality as well. If she has a suit, it is pressed. If you walk into her room at any time, it is organized with immaculate precision. In a conversation, nearly every mannerism of hers is deliberate, almost as if they were carried out by a dancer.
  • Disciplined: Always in control of her emotions and impulses – After seeing what the temptations of life can do to people, Banafsaj aims to live a chaste life free of selfish desires for things such as pleasure and money. She has immense control over her impulses and possesses an unparalleled ability to make rational decisions under stress.
  • Selfless: levels of compassion reaching sainthood – One of Banafsaj’s less obvious positive qualities is her compassion for others. She is always tending to the needs of any person she interacts with, whether they be physical or emotional. If she receives valuables, opportunities, or resources, it is other people who are her focus regarding where to use them.

Weaknesses

  • Stubborn: Will fight anyone to prove a point or die on a hill – Banafsaj has a very black-and-white view of the world where certain things are correct and others are not. This can often get her into unnecessary disagreements. When in a heated argument, her mind can be difficult to shift.
  • Closed-off: Reluctant to form close relationships, despite her outgoingness – As a woman who cares immensely about her job, Banafsaj rarely makes time to foster close relationships. She may be an extremely extroverted person, but the friendships she forges are ones often kept shallow. Banafsaj can form close relationships, but she is inexperienced and somewhat reluctant.
  • Obsessive: From time to time, can become emotionally attached to meaningless work – A side-effect of Banafsaj’s perfectionism is that she can become overly engrossed in the wrong types of work. She may spend a few minutes going back and forth between possible file names or fifteen just to decide on the right dessert to order at dinner.
  • Preachy: Extremely adamant on (some) specific ways of doing things – Everyone has their odd strategies when approaching tasks large and small. Banafsaj has a select few of hers that she thinks are the best and wants to make sure you know that so you can do the right thing. This can be frustrating or helpful. It usually applies to minor things like deciding on wallpaper or picking flowers but can be relevant in more important scenarios. (though it rarely is)
  • Future-thinker: Struggles to live in and appreciate the present moment – Banafsaj is always focused on goals and possibilities. She is extremely attached to her goals and dedicates the present moment to their fulfillment. As a result, she can have difficulty in noticing the small details that emerge in life and appreciating the small gifts she is given daily.

Despite being a middle-aged woman of 39, Banafsaj’s appearance makes her out to be a teen, although an extremely tall one, as anomalies are physically ageless. Her skin’s color is that of robust honey, with artificial eyes that contain an inky sclera and white iris. Banafsaj’s pitch-black hair stretches down her back in a long ponytail accented by white highlights near the bottom. Her face is youthful and full of joy, with an almost perpetual smile on Banafsaj’s face that changes to fit the situation. It could be of smug glee if she won a fight, or of genuine joy at the sound of good news, regardless, Banafsaj is always smiling through the situation.

As for her physicality, it does not conform to either sex due to artificial enhancements made to her body. It only vaguely resembles an athletic humanoid body of moderate build in shape. The appearance of its exterior is covered with runes that pulse neon violet, artificial skin plus muscle, metal sheets, and other tidbits engraved onto its surface. The composition is orderly, despite the massive variety of materials. It may appear either enticing or horrific depending on the type of person to perceive it.

Civilian

Banafsaj’s normal attire varies daily, with her having a strong preference towards formalwear rather than more casual clothing. She enjoys masculine clothing but does dress in more traditionally feminine attire if she feels that way. Her outfits usually involve a color scheme that balances black with white, using sharp crimson accents and almost no other tones. Banafsaj’s signature getup involves a white tie and blazer with a black oxford undershirt and slacks, with white shoes and gloves to match. Traditional formalwear that wouldn’t look out of place at a wedding. This and her other outfits are paired with red, circular eyeglasses and a red lotus flower mounted on her hair.

Combat

Banafsaj’s armor and weapons follow a clean aesthetic that balances mysticism and technology with pragmatics. They are made using sleek black metal with violet highlights in the form of esoteric runes or non-magical markings. Her armor covers her entire body, composed of sleek, moderately bulky protective parts over vital areas connected using durable yet flexible fabric whose holistic design resembles a modern interpretation of heavy plate mail. The exception is her face mask, which is a perfectly round disc, white like porcelain, with the black top-down silhouette of a lotus flower painted over the front. The rest of her face is concealed with stripes of white cloth connected to the mask. As for equipment, almost all items are accented by violet markings and runes for enhanced effects. Items such as weapons have forms inspired by realistic and tested designs. Modest and unassuming, but exceptionally deadly.

Summer Leagues Tag

Banafsaj's tag manifests in the form of a simple bell with red ribbon on the back of her head, from which extends her tails. Unlike other tags of the same form, it is located behind her head, where her hair is tied, making it appear as if she has multiple ponytails When her mask is in use the wrapping will only cover Banafsaj's hair. The bell and tails will still be attached to their original point.

Anomalous

On rare occasions, a sentient being will be born an anomaly, possessing innate abilites that allow them to analyze and traverse the multiverse without the need of specialized equipment through the proper training. With interdimensional portals being incredibly costly and time-consuming, anomalies compose the main fighting forces of those competing in the Ascendancy War as the only beings able to retrieve fragments. Listed bellow are some of the abilities that anomalies have assisting their traversal.

The following two abilities are the only ones that will be relevant to the tournament.

Enhanced Soldier

To ensure all species can go toe-to-toe with any challenge the multiverse hands them, anomalous soldiers are given incredibly powerful enhancements that combine magical, technological, and biological systems to exceptional effect. The product is a being with enhanced capabilities on all levels.

Adopted Power Systems

PARMA’s experimentation and access to dozens of dimensions allow them to train their operatives in potent power systems synthesized from hundreds of locations, and even combine them to create unique effects. As operatives gain experience and become used to their enhancements, their bodies can facilitate more cores and systems. Being a relatively young operative, Banafsaj has access to two base power systems and two power system extensions.

Fighting Style


Overview

Fighting Style: Adaptable Alpha Strike - Banafsaj wins fights by inflicting large bursts of damage on restricted opponents, with her method of obtaining such a position varying based on need. She has a well-rounded toolset full of options for controlling and damaging opponents along with personal utility, but is sparse in defense and sustain. Banafsaj uses her mobility to kite short-ranged opponents and pressure long-ranged ones. When she has an opening or makes one herself, Banafsaj will use her available abilities to restrict an opponent’s ability to fight (cobweb bullets, purity flowers, stunning via combustion explosions, etc.) before following up with sustained fire from her rifle to inflict massive damage, usually ending the fight immediately. If caught off-guard, Banafsaj can adapt her strategy to defend against any opponent; however, she cannot sustain a defensive position for long and will seek an opportunity to turn the fight around.

Banafsaj Safi and Maduabuchi

Maduabuchi


A mysterious and powerful woman of an older era, punished for her hubris by being locked in a mask. He has now atoned for her sins, and seeks to help the wearer of this mask, Banafsaj Safi, attain purity so she may unlock the full potential of the Purity Arts. 

Within a Purity Mask carried by Banafsaj Safi, a wearable device designed to help its wearer reach a state of purity and thus unlock the full potential of their Purity Arts, is Maduabuchi's soul. Whenever Banafsaj falls unconscious deliberately (sleep) or forcefully (knocked out in combat), the two encounter each other in a dream-like world that Maduabuchi can shape to her liking. Here, Maduabuchi gets to decide when Banafsaj is ready to wake up, usually when Banafsaj can walk away from their conversation with a more developed character. Even after years together, Banafsaj knows virtually nothing about her background other than that some act of attempting to be like god locked her away here.

Psyche

Overview

In terms of personality, Maduabuchi is an old soul. She is best described as reserved, humorous, patient, wise, and exceptionally introspective. Although she appears extremely uptight when not around others, she will immediately display a much more soft, jovial side when interacting with him. Maduabuchi is always happy to talk to anyone about anything. She shall listen with the same eager intent to a war criminal as with a second-grader. Although she will not condemn others for their ways, Maduabuchi is often the giver of wisdom regarding flaws she may see in a person. Her advice is not always perfect, but it is always more helpful than what anyone else can offer. Maduabuchi has lived countless sorts of lives and knows a lot about what it means to exist.

Appearance

Primary Appearance

Maduabuchi's physique is that of a stocky humanoid, although other information is impossible to discern due to the outfit she dons. There are only two items Maduabuch wears. The first is a grey cloak wrapped snugly around her body. hood casts a perpetual shadow over Maduabuchi's face. If one were to remove the hood and cloak, one would still find her body to be obscured by an unnatural shadow. The second is a clay brick attached to a rope, slung around her shoulder and resting beside her hip. It is inscribed with the symbol of a dead lion, whose head is disconnected from its body.

Physical Manifestation

Maduabuchi can physically manifest in the world, although this is exceptionally rare. Why varies, but it is often to give advice to someone who needs it or intervene in a dire situation. She possesses unknown but immense supernatural talents that place her on the level of a god, although they only see use in moments of absolute necessity.

Theo is a human raised by wildebeests in the lands of Symphony. After losing his adopted parents and being banished by his sister, he went to live in the wilderness, until he met a group of heroes hoping to save Symphony from potential destruction. Armed with his mystical powers, super strength and magical gauntlets, he’s ready to take on any challenge to protect his friends, especially his girlfriend Pudelle.

Backstory


Theo was found as a baby by Elazna Thunderbluff, a wildebeest warrior woman and wife to the current chief, Decanno Thunderbluff. The pair took a liking to the baby Theo, and adopted him as their son. Theo grew up alongside his adopted siblings, including his older-brother Vuno, sister Taranni, and his baby brother Lukki. Theo would eventually be taught the art of the “Wildeboost”, a mystical art that allowed Theo to strengthen his body and soul by connecting with his ancestors. Despite not being a wildebeest, at the age of 10, Theo had almost mastered the art. Though eventually, tragedy would befall the family when Decanno and Elazna sacrificed themselves to defend the Grassland village from a scorching fire. Before Decanno passed, he gave his gauntlets to Theo.

 

Years later, a tournament was held to find a new leader for the tribe, and while Theo rose through the tournament with high expectations, he faltered when he saw his final opponent was Taranni. Rather than fight his sister, Theo willingly surrendered, making Taranni the new Chieftess. Infuriated by her brother’s willingness to surrender, Taranni demanded that Theo leave the tribe and never return… After 4 years of living in the woods, Theo encountered a group of heroes hoping to face an enraged clan of wyverns. Seizing the opportunity, Theo agreed to help them, leading him to take up the quest of an adventurer.

 

Personality


When in his Earthquake Wildeboost persona, Theo is often boisterous, jovial and just a tad absent-minded. For a long time he believed that acting this way was a good way to show your friendship. But after meeting a new friend, Theo allowed himself to show his true self. When he isn’t geared up, Theo is gentle, dorky, friendly, though he still has an adventurous and mischievous spark inside.

Abilities


The Wildeboost Arts

An ancient art only thought usable by Wildebeests and Wildbeests Only. When used, the Wildeboost can augment a person’s strength, speed, agility and endurance. It can grant temporary immunity to elemental attacks, and even heal the injured by a small amount. The only drawback is that Theo can only use three Wildeboosts per day, and one Maximum Wildeboost per week. After a dimensional mix-up, Theo also unlocked the Chieftain’s Wildeboost which lasts longer, but takes more time to recharge.

Elemental Horns

Theo’s horns serve as an Arcane Focus to fire off elemental attacks through. The elements are really up to his imagination, though his go-tos are usually, Fire, Water, Lightning, Nature and Ice. At first he had very little control over any Wind Elemental attacks, but after meeting his uncle, his control has since become much better. He can also augment these attacks with his horns.

Thruster Gauntlets

The last gift his father ever gave him, Theo’s Thruster Gauntlets are powerful weapons. Made from metal found in a comet, and forged by the blacksmiths of the former King of Symphony, The Thruster Gauntlets have incredible durability. The gauntlets have a special trigger that can boost Theo’s speed at a moment’s notice, and also jettison him in the opposite direction of an attacker. They also allow him to use his special move, “The Rhino Rush” where he charges at full speed at an enemy, head first, to send them reeling. His gauntlets aren’t immune to short-circuiting however, and can be rendered powerless if hit by a strong-enough electrical attack.

Strengths


Theo has an almost indomitable, optimistic fighting spirit that is difficult to break in most instances. When he faces a strong opponent he always tries to give it 110%, until he can’t physically fight any longer. His mind is equally tough to crack, as most mental control attacks don’t have any effect on him due to his willpower. But more often than not, he tries to find a peaceful resolution when facing an opponent that he knows isn’t evil.

Weaknesses


Theo can be a fair bit gullible at times, as his knowledge of human kind is very limited. He himself is still under the partial belief that he is a wildebeest, even when people have undeniable proof that he is fully human, even his human uncle, Jean-Baptiste. But his greatest weaknesses seem to be when he’s brought to the lowest of lows, it can take the help of a friend to get him back on his feet; and due to the wildfire that killed his adopted parents, Theo has a slight Pyrophobia that can occasionally render him frozen (the flames from his horns are an exception). He also has difficulty swimming in deep water.

Pudelle Rovington Ellsgood is a half-human half-rat girl from Pirate Port who’s known for her thievery, despite her being a part of an aristocratic family. Pudelle grew up to be much like her biological father, a rascally, rebellious, and thieving Pirate of a girl. She enjoys tinkering and making all manner of gadgets to terrorize her opponents, though they have a bad habit of blowing up due to their shoddy construction. She grew up believing she’d never find her soul-mate, until she came face to face with Theo. The pair are an almost inseparable duo, with a habit of falling into misadventures by complete accident or by Pudelle’s reckless sense of fun.

Backstory


Pudelle is the daughter of the illustrious aristocrat, Pressatra Ellsgood, and the devilish pirate, Skumm Blackwitch. Though she was raised believing she was the daughter of Raloran (her mother’s fiancé at the time). She is nothing like Pressatra (save for her snarky attitude) or her “father”, which has lead them to try and train her to act more ladylike. Those attempts failed, as she has scared of every suitor her parents have thrown her way, disappointing her mother to no ends. She has a chip on her shoulder for Captain Skreech, as he killed her biological father right in front of her. She ended up giving him his comeuppance, by robbing him of his riches alongside Theo. It was Theo’s kindness and willingness to help her that made her fall in love with him.

 

Personality


Pudelle is a chaotic gremlin of a girl with a lively personality that’s almost too big for her 4’ body. She almost never runs out of energy, especially when battling alongside her friends. She is also quite a master of street-smart tactics, having lived most of her life as a mischievous thief and adventurer, she is no stranger to thinking up plans on the fly to save herself or her pals. Though, she can be a bit headstrong at times, leading her to make hasty and even reckless decisions.

Scrap-Crafting

Pudelle has a knack for making her own weapons from random bits, bobs and junk she has gathered from hers and Theo’s adventures. While most of her weapons can be described as “clunky”, most of them have proven to be rather useful tools in combat, especially when she tinkers on them with her Wrenchcalibur. The only downside is that her weapons have a bad habit of… EXPLODING.

Thunder Cannon

Pudelle has learned to harness a ton of her tech-y energy into one of her signature weapons, The Thunder Bazooka. The product of a giant Tesla coil, the old shell of a bazooka, and a ton of stolen Cyheln circuitry, Puds’ cannon is a powerful (albeit dangerous) weapon. 

Wildeboost Locket

A gift given to her by Theo on Valentine's Day, Pudelle’s locket allows her to use the same Wildeboosts as Theo, though she only has access to two per day.

Strengths


Pudelle is really good at distracting enemies, and even getting on their nerves if it means giving an open for a friend. Though when push comes to shove, Pudelle can easily hold her own with her quick speed, and her ratty tech weapons. She’s also good with dismantling tech, or finding a weak spot in machinery.

Weaknesses


Pudelle unfortunately has a bad habit of underestimating her enemies, which can give her enemies an opening to knock her unconscious. And while her scrap-tech is powerful, it’s highly unpredictable and can have dangerously volatile side-effects if her scrap-crafting is just a little off in execution. She can also go ballistic if she sees someone close to her, like Theo, in life-threatening danger.

Reigai is the result of centuries of knowledge, used to craft a single living, breathing doll, the fusion of machine and magic to resemble the organic.

Joined the Crossroads under suggestion of strangers (accidentally) and Gambler (intentionally), their wish is still undecided upon, but there is a wish ready to be made within their heart.

Their Tag is a necklace with a White Poker Chip, it currently is a "1" Value Chip.

Although capable of combat, they let Gambler deal with scuffles.


Gambler, a companion within their mind, acts towards ensuring the best for Reigai, taking over control of their bodies when in combat situations due to Reigai's personal inability to fight properly.

Backstory


Reigai woke up in an unknown realm, it felt crushing to be there, so they searched for an out, finding it once a voice, Gambler, guided them to a book within a bookshelf.

Once they left, they woke up in the Forest of Butterflies, a place with a history of being owned and taken care of by a Sage, though that was all in the past, they looked towards civilization and found a girl named Alius and a man named Antonov, who granted a place to rest a night and filled them in on some knowledge that they don't know.

Then, when the sun rose again, they parted ways, leaving Reigai with the words that they should forge their own path forward in this world that might be hostile to them. Gambler suggested they return to where they woke up, where they found a fox waiting for them.


Personalities


Reigai is very non-hostile, though they might fight if they need to, they leave the tough work to others, preferring to support from the back, they use their slightly outdated knowledge to live their life, although always searching to learn more.

They're also weak to compliments, even if they try to hide it, it's not hard to find a small blush in their cheeks after a series of "You look so nice!" and "Nice job!", try stringing in compliments together and see how high you can combo them!

Gambler is helpful to Reigai, sharing their thoughts and rationale sometimes so Reigai may better make decisions, or just to teach them.

When in control, which is usually in a fight, Gambler goes all in on the offensive, taunting and actively conversating with opponents, they mostly make use of their own abilities, which have a focus on randomness.

Gambler holds no qualms about using violence to achieve their goals, their own safety being thrown to the side in this fighting they consider a game. Though Victory is not guaranteed, their entertainment is with you in her aims.

A Caterpillar is a passive ability, it causes the user increased endurance and stamina, incentivizing a defensive playstyle.

A Chrysalis - Reigai

Another passive skill, this one allows Reigai to cast shields it's partly transparent, though golden streaks can be found running through it like veins, extended use is tiring.

Mariposa - Reigai

Reigai's only offensive ability, it allows them to leach mana off anyone near them, a proboscis like appendage extends from their hand and stabs the target, sapping their mana away, then their life.

Shared Bodies - The Vessel

Due to how Reigai and Gambler share the same body, they also share the same skills, although to call on the skill of others you need to call out the skill, it's still a valuable asset in a pinch.

Six Shooter - Gambler

Gambler's main offensive ability, it is a magic revolver that holds six rounds, one of the rounds on it is always rigged to blow up the revolver in the hands of it's user, if dropped anyone can pick it up and use it, if one dismisses it they can absorb the mana used to make the revolvers and the bullets, if the cylinder is spun the wielder has it's mana sapped to refill the used bullets.

Ace of Spades - Gambler

A close ranged option, Gambler summons a blade of a transparent material, it can grow many layers causing it to grow opaque but also increasing it's weight and reducing it's general ergonomics and strength, like Gambler's other main skill, it has a layer of randomness, when it has no reinforcement it breaks about half of the time, when it has a layer of reinforcement it breaks once every four times, another layer causes it to break about every eight uses. There's no limit on how many times it can be reinforced besides the mana requirements, which grows like the durability. Once a slash is made, until the blade breaks or the slash ends, the blade will sap mana from the user to enhance it's strength.

Resonate - ???

An Ace in Gambler's sleeve, Resonate allows them to copy a skill of the target's assuming conditions are met, it is unknown how conditions are determined but they seem to center around making combat harder or something that is hard to achieve in a fight for Gambler, assuming conditions are met, Gambler will drag the conscious of the target into the Library of All, there they'll play a game of chance, no damage caused in there reflects in real life. Assuming Gambler wins, they steal a ability of choice from the target, losing allows them to steal a ability randomly from the target.

The stolen skill will never be at it's peak nor it's weakest, how it's wielder uses it also is a variable, complicated skills being harder to use.

Thermokinesis - Antonov's "Borrowed" Ability

Antonov's skill which was borrowed, between full frontal offense and utility, this caught Gambler's eyes.

Allows the user to control things at a molecular level, Antonov could create fire and ice and manipulate it to his will almost subconsciously, the copied skill is close to allowing this to happen, but training is still needed to get to that level.

Strengths


The Vessel hold the conscious of Reigai and Gambler, thus strengths and weaknesses after are gonna be in parts:

The Vessel's strengths apply to both of them, being made of both magic and machinery, they hold decent resilience, though they look like a doll, they have skin and flesh alongside bones of a metallic material of great, great resistance, being able to suffer stabs and slashes and yet holding incredible regeneration properties, assuming they have enough mana to regenerate cut flesh and broken bones.

Reigai's capable of sustaining themselves handily in a battle, lacking damage they can support themselves well with their skills.

Gambler holds a battle hyperfixation, being able to fight no matter what is thrown at them, unless they're stopped, they'll throw themselves at the opponent without hesitation, no enemy too threatening for them, they're also highly skilled in all sorts of luck based games, even without a ability that brings luck their mentality of a winner roars loudly.

Weaknesses


Reigai's unskilled in combat, though they are willing to try, if they realize they're severely outmatched they'll yield their body to Gambler, they can't properly gauge a opponent's skill unless the opponent's overwhelming them.

Gambler's a careless fighter betting on your failure, it's not hard to surprise them, one distraction's all that's need to lure them into a trap, just know their will's strong enough they'll try and walk it off.

Gambler is mainly inspired by Roguelites, the idea of growing stronger every combat resonated nicely with me.

Reigai's just a character I wanted to try making someday, they're innocent, isn't it nice to just have an OC who isn't suffering?

The Vessel isn't a character, it's more a description of y'know, what they reside in.

Backstory


She was born as a soldier meant for combat a unique breed that was a miniature swarm. She started life fighting human armies quickly becoming one of the swarms most feared. Rather than fighting her the humans teleported her to a remote planet with nothing but giant monsters. She's spent 80 years in solitude and now she's been given a chance for contact thanks to a small fluffy creature.

 

Personality


She tries to maintain an air of superiority but is undermined by the fact that she's amuzed by every new thing that she sees. Years alone has made her gone a little mad and she refers to herself as "we" wether to reference her lost conection to the swarm or to her non-sentient army.

Swarm control

Selica herself can make silk and has poison fangs but her main ability is to control her swarm which is comprised of two types: workers and soldiers

Swarm worker

These have the ability to produce different kinds of silk like sticky to trap enemies or harden it to make weapons or repair the outer shell body. There's about a million f thes acting as muscles inside the body

Swarm soldier

only a few thousand of these at a time they have poison fangs that can paralize and can fly.

Strengths


Selica is very smart and uses her swarm in tactical ways to take down opponent much bigger than her. She has no problem lying or trying to mentally attack opponents if that will lead to her victory. 

Weaknesses


She has a weird sense of pride were she'll start a fight on "equal" grounds by imitating her opponents weapons if possible. She also has a few screws loose due to being alone for so long. She has mostly lost her bloodlust and now is just amazed by new thing. Even the humans she fought for so long are now more amusing. She might get easily distracted by new things.

Yuri Sokoloff is a Russian super-soldier born of the minds and efforts of the best Russian scientists and engineers. His mind is made to process and perform orders without question.

In the past he was a regular man, a single father, he worked in the military for a long time but retired early after being widowed to spend time with his son. Unfortunately, circumstances led him to a path of self-destruction and now his past self is barely alive anymore

Backstory


Yuri spent his whole childhood idolizing his father, who worked in the military, he spent his whole life wishing to be just like him, even as he got older and realized that serving his country was not what he thought of as a child. He was revered by his superiors for his quick thinking, excellent physique and flawless obedience, he never failed to perform his duties. Despite his near addiction to working and raising ranks he managed to get married and even have a kid named Mikhail. Unfortunately, after a few years of never talking to his wife she got in a car accident, Yuri was heartbroken, but he still had his son.

 

After this shocking event he decided he’d served his country enough, his efforts had been recognized enough and, despite being a bit young, he decided to retire and spend time with his son, he might go back to work sometime in the future. And so, years passed and he grew to love his son more than he’d ever loved his job. But once again, tragedy struck.

 

His son was about 6, Yuri had taken him to the forest for camping, there were plenty of people there, it was supposed to be safe. Mikhail went to a walk in the forest and never came back, Yuri spent days trying to find him, no luck. He was gone

 

Years passed as he remained obsessed with finding his son, he couldn't even find a body, anything could have happened, the river could have swept him away, or a stranger might've abducted him, no matter what he did he couldn't find a single clue of his whereabouts. He asked favors from every one of his contacts in the military and government, large scale searches where made, his son’s disappearance became national news, but despite all that, all he gained was unwanted attention and pity.

 

Eventually the government began a very particular program, but they couldn’t find a candidate that was both suitable and willing, lucky for them Yuri was not going to say no to any help at all he could find. He signed every single document they gave him barely reading them, and accepted to basically relinquish his body and humanity to the government.

 

They spent years on various surgeries and injecting him with all sorts of drugs, Yuri endured in the false hope that they’d put even more resources into finding his son. After many years he was “complete”. Yuri Sokoloff, the perfect Russian soldier. The scientists had managed to nearly erase his every memory, his mind was left in a vegetative state and only certain areas where functioning, leaving him uncapable of disobeying orders. To keep him loyal they feed him suppressants as a way of keeping his mind asleep.

 

Today, Yuri is not aware of the life he used to live, or that his humanity was stolen.

 

Personality


Yuri is very laconic in both his speech and mannerisms, he never seems to do any more movements or speak more words than he needs. Yuri is quiet and reserved, he only speaks if spoken to or if he believes it is necessary to speak. He has a broad vocabulary, but his English is very crude and he sometimes makes mistakes.

 

He never displays any strong emotions, maybe he’ll get kind of happy when something nice happens or slightly annoyed when something bad does, but he never displays anything with too much passion.

 

His past self, before turning into a super-soldier, was a whole different person. He was extroverted and loud, he was fun, he made jokes and he had problems understanding personal space. He was always looking out for the people bellow him, be it his underlings while working in the military, people directly under his command or even simply random people.

 

Despite all the years he spent being a super-soldier and having his brain vegetative, sometimes you can see a faint glimmer of his past self slip through the thick shell he has become. Especially if he spends some time without memory suppressants.

 

Very deep within he is a kind soul who doesn’t actually want to kill people. During the tournament he might struggle or wish against killing a competitor he finds likeable.

Abilities


Superhuman Strength

He has passive super strength, many times greater than even the strongest human. He can lift many times his weight without much effort but he can lift more if he tries harder

He is very skilled at using his strength and weight to his advantage, being able to punch through concrete and cause severe damage even to armored vehicles such as tanks

With his strenght he has no trouble lifting his 1,5 ton spear.

Great agility and flexibility

Yuri has a great flexibility; the strength of his joints allows him to even dislocate many different bones without much trouble. His flexibility is on par with a professional gymnast. He is capable of jumping and climbing with great dexterity and incredible speed for someone of his size

Pain tolerance

Even if he suffers great damage, Yuri barely feels pain.

Physical resistance

Yuri’s body is built to be capable of resist and absorb as much damage as possible. His skin is similar to a bulletproof best, very good at stopping piercing damage. Small to medium caliber weapons can’t even damage his skin, higher caliber weapons can damage and penetrate his muscle.

Even if the skin is pierced, his muscle is incredibly resistant as well, shaped to protect his vital organs (which he has few since his body is very optimized and compact). Yuri’s bones are very resistant but also flexible enough to be very hard to break.

Despite all of the optimization he’s gone through, his head still remains to be a weak point. While it may be even more bulletproof tan the rest of his body, blunt damage can concuss the brain.

Improved survivavility

Yuri’s constitution and metabolism allow him to survive incredibly harrowing injuries which would otherwise prove fatal. He can survive extreme blood loss, organ failure, dangerous poisons (although if it’s a poison unknown to modern medicine it might be more effective) and even minor brain damage.

 If death is absolutely imminent his body goes into absolute shutdown and he enters a vegetative state until he is given assistance

Strengths


Yuri can spend a month without any food of any kind. He is usually fed intravenously with supplements of vitamins and proteins (once a week). His body is very good at healing, however since he is very large it evens out so he heals just a little faster than a normal human.

Needless to say his body is one of his greatest strengths, he can absorb great amounts of damage as well as avoid danger thanks to his mobility.

Despite being built for following orders, due to not having memory suppressants he is quite adamant about killing, and will try to avoid it or work around orders in order not to do it.

Weaknesses


Physically and mentally speaking, his head is his biggest weakness. Despite being far more bulletproof that the rest of his body, it is way more susceptible to blunt force damage, making it easy to concuss him and cause him to lose balance. However, to make him lose consciousness it’ll take far more than just making him a little nauseous. To truly win against him it’d take strong damage to the joints and brain.

Despite his loyalty and determination to complete an objective, his brain is completely unprotected to mental attacks. Despite the memory suppressants, it might be possible to bring back faint memories from his past, which might confuse him enough to give you an opening and defeating him.

Currently, he is far more suceptible to defying orders just from being talked to by someone he find likeable

Relationship with Boris

At the beginning of the tournament, Boris is just the man giving Yuri the orders, as usual. However, as he regains memories he will question Boris and he’ll become a wall blocking his path to recovering his identity

Generally Yuri obeys Boris, but will do so more reluctantly as the rounds progress

ROUND 2

Yuri doesn't like Boris, he will begrudgingly follow orders, but he will act sort of like a rebellious teenager towards Boris by half-assedly following orders.

Progression during the story

During the tournament Yuri will begin recovering his memories and slightly changing his behaviour

These are all suggestions of how he will sort of behave, nothing too concrete or serious

Round 1

He will begin having faint blurry flashbacks of his past life, he might even hesitate to follow through with an order (but he will anyways). At this stage be might slightly question Boris or speak out of line (state his own opinion) but nothing too revelious. He will not tell Boris about the flashbacks

Round 2

He will have clearer visions of the past and will remember he had a son, he might even question Boris about who he was before being a soldier. At this point he might even talk back to Boris, act unpredictably or even not follow a direct order

Round 3

He will fully regain his memories and question Boris about them. He will fully revel and claim that his wish upon winning will be to get his son back. Because this, he no longer follows any sort of order given and might even attack Boris (though he is not a vengeful person)

Boris Morozov is one of the chief military scientists of the Russian government. Specifically, he designed and engineered the most powerful human super-soldier developed in his world, "Yuri Sokoloff"

 

Most of Boris' experiments revolve around human augmentation and developing the human body. He has absolutely no remorse to the people who suffer under his experiments and even shows pride of the results

Backstory


Boris led a fairly normal life, he was born in a good family, his father was a doctor which certainly inspired him to seek a similar career.

 

When he was young he marveled at the athletic capacity of Olympic athletes and decided he wanted to study something related to that. At 14 he stole a number of drugs from his father and tried injecting/feeding them to his dog to record differences in athletic ability before and after the “treatment”. The dog died but it did a little better in his tests (which were hardly professional).

 

He became an acclaimed student if the faculty of biomedicine, he also studied many different fields of biology and medicine, even engineering. By the end of his studies he was well versed in both mechanics and the human body, which he tried to combine in his experiments to develop the human body. He never experimented on himself, he stated he was “not stupid enough” since that field of science was far too uncertain.

 

He gained large sums of money from the prosthetics he managed to develop and drove plenty of people to either madness or suicide from the attempts at artificially developing their bodies. Eventually the government enlisted him as a military scientist and he led a project to create a super-soldier. After many decades it proved a success and his team managed to create “Yuri Sokoloff”, though it’d be years before he interacted with Yuri while being conscious.

 

After a few years of good service an opportunity arose for the Russian government, a letter detailing information about a tournament with anything you could wish for as the reward reached them. Yuri was quickly selected for the mission and Boris decided he’d go accompany him to administer his medicine, deciding he was the most qualified person for the job and also as an opportunity to see first hand what Yuri was capable of.

Personality


Boris is incredibly proud, he hates people criticizing his work (particularly Yuri) and he loves to boast about his skills and projects. He has a bit of a short fuse when it comes to anything related to his scientific experiments and it’s easy to befriend him by feeding his ego.

 

He has little appreciation for human life, when he looks at a human all he sees is either potential or lack of potential. He loves Yuri because he finds him to be nearly perfect. Boris doesn’t have a lot of friends, he doesn’t have many social skills, he doesn’t care about people or what they are like, he only cares about their body and their physical aptitude. If a person dies he’ll either think “well that was expected” or “shame, they had a good body”.

 

He is incredibly self-centered, as his whole ideology of humans falls apart when you look at him, he isn’t in great physical shape, but he ignores it by claiming “but my brain is 100 times better that anyone’s so it evens out”.

 

Boris never lies, he might withhold information or refuse to provide information, but he has no trouble speaking his mind even in situations where even he can tell are inappropriate or counterproductive. If Yuri asked him about his past Boris would not tell him anything, but with just a little insistence Boris would speak, he is positive that even if Yuri knew his past, he’d still follow orders because of his brain being hard set to obeying.

 

He does NOT care about the russian government, once he wins he plans to wish for the power of a god or something selfish like that.

Abilities


Biomedicine and engineering knowledge

Boris spent years studying many fields of medicine, biology and engineering, he graduated early with honors and was recognized as a prodigy. He used that knowledge to create the greatest super-soldier known in his world.


Complete and absolute lack of empathy

Some would argue it isn’t a skill, but actually a flaw. However, when it comes to the field Boris works in, in which even a small unnoticed mistake will ruin a human’s life irreparably, it is somewhat useful.

Alcohol tolerance

He can drink up to 5 shots of vodka before getting drunk.

Prodigial

Boris is very intelligent and has an easy time learning and understanding foreign topics and sciences. He believes magic to be simply a science he does not yet understand, and often makes deductions and correctly guesses how certain magic systems work even though he’s never seen them before.

If he gets his hands on a book regarding a scientific/magical topic, he can absorb it in one quick reading and hastily put its teachings into practice (as long as it doesn’t involve altering or using his body).

Small handgun

Boris has a small handgun in his right inner breast pocket, it's loaded but he doesn't have more bullets to reaload. He would only use this if Yuri is not around, since he believes Yuri can protect him from anything

Relationship with Yuri

Boris regards Yuri to be his masterpiece, almost as a son (he has no idea how normal people treat their children). Boris boasts and has absolute confidence in Yuri’s physical abilities, sometimes blowing things out of proportion, but he doesn’t think of Yuri as a living being, and anytime Yuri acts independently or disobeys in the slightest Boris gets annoyed.

Strengths


His brain is his greatest strength, though he isn’t exactly a strategist. He has deep knowledge of the human body, as well as how to ruin it or make it fail, it will rarely ever come into use in a combat situation (for which he is not suited).

He has great mental fortitude, and it’s hard to convince him he is wrong (almost like talking to a wall). There’s a chance that’d make him somewhat resistant to hypnosis but it depends on the potency

Weaknesses


He is incredibly proud and has a short fuse, it’s easy to make him angry if you question his intelligence or height of his achievements (especially if you play dumb since he hates idiots)

His body is generally pretty weak, despite all his research into how to develop and improve the human body he never took care of his. He is a little bellow a regular human when it comes to physical ability. Boris also has weak knees, so he can’t run for long

Author's Notes


Despite playing the role of the supporting character, Boris is closer to being Yuri's real antagonist, as he actively wants to stop Yuri from recovering his memory.

He doesn't really mean to obbey his superior's orders, if he wins he will wish for something like "Give me the power of a god" or "I want my brain to be the greatest in the universe"

Feel free to make him as awful as you want. That being sexist, racist, or whatever you feel like, it's kind of the point for him to be an awful person so no need to pull back.

Backstory


Born as a normal pet rabbit, Ronin used to live happily with a normal family until he was taken and captured into an laboratory where an evil tyrant plans to experiment on him and other animals until he has created an army of killer soldiers. Fortunately Ronin was rescued before he could be fully developed into a killing machine and was raised into society like humans. Now a master scientist with his own team (Of weird misfits). He runs his own laboratory, Somedays the team is just making potions or solutions to minor life problems, others they are an emergency squad standing up to high level threats to their world. One thing is certain however, Ronin aims to help his world and beyond

Personality


Ronin as a whole is a pleasant attitude being. He likes to make sure everyone he knows is ok and he loves to help others with their struggles. Often times however the lab life makes his job a bit complicated and he panics a little as a result. Either way Ronin still remains hopeful and determined no matter the situation.

Rabbit Hearing and Agility

Being mutated into a rabbit humanoid has granted Ronin the ability to preform rabbit like feats such as being able to jump twice as high as a regular human and being able to hear alot further than a human can.

Shock Bracelets

Ronin's Go to weapon is his shock bracelets, Wrist worn bracelets that can emit electricity based energy. Ronin can hone this energy in a variety of way such as electricity projectiles he has named "Arc Flashes" Lightning powered Punches, and Heavy voltage Grabs. While the bracelets do not have many variations of attacks, they make up for in being indestructible to the exterior. While in battle, Ronin can force his bracelets into overdrive mode, granting him a bit more electricity power for a limited time. 

Fatal Instinct

As a result of Not being fully developed, Ronin has a dark killing state known as the "Fatal Instinct". When angered or stressed to extreme levels. Ronin Starts acting like a feral creature wanting to kill anything within sight. This state heavily increases his speed and power, however his critical thinking skills become void, leaving Ronin as a feral animal that cannot use logical reasoning. Ronin never wishes to use this ability himself as he fears he may hurt those around him when he is in this state.

Strengths


As a scientist, Ronin tries to take the most logical route possible, even in hand to hand combat. He is always thinking at least 2 steps ahead when the time arises. His compassion of helping others aids him in any challenge that is thrown his way. He also has some science experience, knowing basic concepts of science (Like how metal conducts electricity). 

Ronin's shock bracelets make him a tough adversary from any range, he can fight long range using electricity projectiles and close up using shock punches and grabs. 

Weaknesses


Ronin can be a bit of a goof sometimes, more often than not this goof nature of his gets him into many situations as he gets out of. Ronin is also considered gullible as he can be persuaded on little details and can even be fooled into thinking someone is an ally a bit too easily. Ronin will also mostly go for a non lethal takedown when facing off a dangerous threat, even when the threat is better off dead. Ronin can be prone to emotional situations, this in turn could activate his fatal instinct, at the age of 25 he has gotten a lot better at controlling his emotions, but the possibility is still there

While his shock bracelets allow ronin to fight long range using his "Arc flashes", Ronin is only able to throw out 1 or 2 of at a time, making it hard for him to throw out a full projectile assault from long range.

While ronin has a heavy resistance to his own electricity, if he pushes his bracelets too much he may start feeling the sting of his own attacks...

Backstory


Raised in Sea Blake City (The Neighboring city near the secret Neo ambition Lab) Eliza Melwood lived on her own in a small apartment. Eliza never really knew her dad well as he was reported missing when she was 6, with no trace of his whereabouts. Working a part time job at a comic store, Eliza dreamed of going on adventures like the characters she always sees in comic books or movies that are present at her work. One fateful day Eliza runs into Ronin and the Neo ambition Lab team, Begs for a job at the lab. After a while Ronin reluctantly agrees thinking she may be over her head. Over time however Eliza would prove herself to be a great addition to the lab team. 

Personality


Eliza was always peppy and Cheerful in spite of her missing father figure. Eliza always wears a smile on her face, although at times she can appear shy around new people. Her clumsiness also makes her a bit of a goofball at times, making her almost a comic relief.

Martial arts Mimicry 

Having seen alot of Comics, Videogames, and Movies, Eliza Melwood can mimic a fair number of martial arts moves to decent effectiveness. Her Goofy and amateur movement's prevent her from fully mastering the famous moves she knows from other media's  

Potion Device

Eliza wears a potion device on her waist, Holding up to 2 potions at a time once she activates it. The potion device can replicate any potion recognized by the neuro lab team to be used during combat situations, making it really powerful as a support item. During her time in the summer leagues however, She has misplaced a few parts to this device leaving it to only make 1 minor Aid potion and 1 minor detriment potion. The effects are randomized and no one knows which potion is good or bad, not even Eliza knows which ones are good or bad, often leaving it up to choice.

Strengths


Eliza's Loyalty to the lab team is unrivaled, She has her team's back no matter what the situation calls for. Her Constant training (At the Comic store's basement) Made her a somewhat half decent fighter and her knowledge of potions makes her a formidable combat support. Her potion device makes 2 potions, 1 support and 1 Detrimental potion without fail

The 2 potions can be used either by splashing it over the opponent for the regular duration, or drinking it outright for longer effects.

Weaknesses


Eliza isn't a professional martial artist, as such her movements are rather goofy and clumsy. More often than not she may fail one of her attacks she has replicated to an embarrassing degree.

It doesn't help that her potion device has missing parts, making it impossible for her to tell which potions she has are good or bad and what specific effects they have, Eliza will have to pick 1 of the 2 leaving it mostly up to chance

Backstory


PS Project Description

Originally developed under the "Persistent Salvor" project started by Col-Dr. James York Mason(later Gen-Dr.) to push the boundaries of Usonian battlesynth technology using barely understood CrysTech and gain an edge over the Vesingians. At least that was the reason given to the check writers.

 

Due to various factors such as internal power plays and the increasing rarity of easily harnessed Crystech the project was scrapped after the first recontact war. With many PS-series models going missing or even destroying each other to hide Mason's true plans of manipulating probability and fighting predicted deities to claim their tools. Although many production batches managed to get reclaimed by the military, one of said batches included PS/H JA-42.

 

The Hunt-specialist(PS/H-SPC) is the base model. Suited the role of performing decapitation strikes against enemy command structures and claiming valuable battlefield tech and salvage.

Service History

Against the Vesingian imperium's stratified forces these decapitation strikes were effective but against anyone else it gave mixed results at best. Either way these stealth battlesynths garnered an intimidating reputation which made them priority targets whenever they were spotted. The few factories in charge of creating them were also singled out.

 

Nobody were willing to suffer their enemies having PS-models so even with their excellent self-repair and stealth abilities their numbers were whittled down over the centuries by attrition or going missing in action.

JA-42 had been among the last survivors of many PS-model teams and was eventually granted the command of GI and GR "Growler" models that could be made with the surviving Usonian military production capacity.

Post-Emergence

2 months ago when speaking with an Usonian army celebrity in a conversation about the effectiveness of their current counter-insurgency campaign Jaz's mind had finally come into being in an Emergence event.

The resulting flood of 2 centuries of previously unprocessed emotions led Jaz to have a lethal reaction to those in the conversation. The following escalation had Jaz turn to vigilantism to personally remove bad apples higher up in the military industrial complex to set things right.

A subconscious ideology from centuries of being immersed in strife at regular intervals has prevented them from seeing the system is actually working as intended, limiting her to only consider removing the bad apples.

 

But performing decapitation strikes is exactly what Jaz excels at.

Personality


Most AI that are recently born from emergence events tend to be in intense emotional turmoil from processing memories from before they were sentient. Especially military models. Even more so if one has gone on for centuries before emergence.

 

Jaz has adjusted somewhat well over the course of 2 months considering their fugitive status.

  • Inquisitive/curious. Likes sniffing out information that could be relevant to survival and learning of different viewpoints. This does make Jaz liable to blindly poke at societal norms that typically have been taken for granted.
  • Impatient in unplanned scenarios. Anywhere from unprompted small talk to the pressures of a personally crafted plan going more wrong than expected.
  • Honest, at least internally. Appreciates when others are upfront with what their principles are about.
  • Vindictive.  Jaz's "upbringing" has instilled a rather violent idea of justice.
  • Apprehensive. Habitual calculations for predicting outcomes in the next 10 seconds to optimize the best course of action for survival have given Jaz some kind of anxiety.

Ability categories


[Fluid Skirmisher]

When one has difficulties in tracking targets from a distance speed becomes the factor that is the hardest to counter. PS/H units are equipped with glide-treads that function as if they are motorized rollerblades. If given ideal conditions in a straight line these glide-treads top out at 85 km/h. This speed could be further pushed to a little under 100 km/h if the myomer muscles are at an ideal temperature.

Between the outer side of their ankles and the glide-treads are stabilization spikes, used for braking, performing tight turns, getting extra grip on surfaces, anchoring into the ground or even kicking more menacingly.

As installing inbuilt jump/jet pack thrusters would compromise the stealth features PS/H units have been equipped with mechanical jump boosters instead. While it's harder to adjust course in mid-air this does provide a reliable "bouncing" gait for overall improved ground speed and leaping up to 120 meters horizontally with a running start(150m when without extra equipment). These springy jump boosters also handle operating from water better than the thruster based counterpart.

There are magnetic grips installed but the weight of most battlesynths is too much for the magnets to do all the work themselves so they are more of a grip aid unless the gravity is weak enough.

Since lasers and particle beams aren't exactly something one can dodge or outrun the next best thing short of being in cover is spinning or rotating to minimize the damage from the laser by spreading it out instead of letting it focus through a specific armor section. For example mid-skate spins or mid-air flips can be performed by PS/H units being shot at with energy weapons until they find cover.

[Armored Ambusher]

Stealth armor: For being nearly fully shielded against EM, IR and to a lesser degree radar detection at the cost of trapping heat. With the caveat that the naked eye or analog optics can still see it. This function can be inverted to let off extra heat at the cost of spiking the IR signature. If the stealth armor is fully penetrated electronic sensors would be able to spot the hole in the armor even if they don't see the rest of it.

Being quiet compared to most other battlesynths along with the stealth armor makes PS/H units well suited to infiltrating enemy lines and destroying as much of their command structure as possible. These ambushes will be an especially nasty surprise for buttoned up tank crews and mech pilots who will be almost helpless once a PS/H unit latches onto their hull.

Small arms typically have difficulties penetrating the stealth armor so it is recommended to aim for the "eyes"(or other weak points) or simply find a bigger weapon.

[Persistent Salvor]

The official namesake of the PS project. What sets PS units from the battlesynths of today are their supermatter crystal power cores, CrysTech mindcores and the nanogel "blood" that is pumped throughout their bodies by peristaltic means with their myomer muscles.

CrysTech mindcores mounted in the torso also feature a tachyon scope, a form of FTL sensor that can see anything at FTL speeds but at the cost of having to expend a lot of computing power to filter the information to get anything useful. Most often used by Jaz to track heat signatures through walls. Due to the relatively small scale of the sensors it will take a while to filter out anything beyond a few kilometers but could theoretically get a vague picture of a neighboring planetary system. Has difficulties discerning cold signals and filtering hot signals so making yourself cold or putting yourself in the same line as something hot(like a big radiator or the sun) will make it harder to detect you. Another feature of tachyon scopes is the ability to pick up tachyon FTL communications.

Due to most internally mounted tachyon scopes doing omnidirectional scan sweeps PS-units have been described as "having eyes on the back of their heads". This also allows for being able to navigate even when the head mounted sensors are damaged.

The nanogel works in tandem with the internal M-R-S(Micro-Refinery-Smelter) system to recycle just about anything needed to repair the unit. If they leave the body they eventually harden from liquids into preplanned solids and work as an excellent sealant. "Regenerating" not just the skin and what's within but also worn/linked objects albeit at a slower rate and if they are broken thoroughly enough they have to be removed to get proper repairs. As a side effect Jaz could concentrate in order to "3D print" something. Either internally followed by coughing it out or freehand sculpting. 

This same nanogel also allows PS units to graft on hardware that would otherwise be incompatible. Combined with the SM power core this also lets Jaz recharge just about any device.

PS/H models have inbuilt micro-railgun arrays in the forearms, a useful anti-personnel tool and a good backup for when other weapons are unable to fire. Due to the small size of the projectiles thick enough armor or even being at a significant distance will make these projectile volleys less dangerous. With the dense volume of each volley they are able to effectively dig into weakpoints in armor if they are fired from a close enough distance. Ammunition is provided in the form of drawing blocks of nanogel from the unit's body.

The Modular weapon mount system on the forearms allow for quickly slotting in Usonian battlesynth compatible weapons like claws, heavy machineguns and support lasers without getting in the way of the splinter guns housed in the same forearms.

Myomer muscles grant battlesynths tremendous strength, the composition of the myomer muscles in PS-units makes them stronger past certain heat thresholds but like other myomer muscles they still get erratic and even sluggish if there's too much heat.

In a melee PS units tend to be attracted to Usonian heat cutlasses or vibroblades. While they are more than capable of sustaining energy-hungry handjets the heat emitted by such weapons is enough for unprotected flesh&bone soldiers trying to turn these on get instant 1st degree burns across their arm. While such heat is tolerable for battlesynths handjets still add extra stress on their temperature control system, have worse battery life economy, and renders otherwise viable salvage into useless slag more often than other options.

Their mechanical jump boost systems have proven to be rather deadly when directed to boost kicking motions instead of leaping motions.

Due to the heat buildup from the various functions of Jaz and the stealth armor a set of radiators have been built into Jaz and the armor to facilitate rapid cooling. The red hair is used to let off lower-temperature heat as needed so the radiators don't have to do all the work or be deployed for minor heat spikes.

[Command module]

Battlesynths equipped with mindcores are often provided a compact weapons-grade laser built into their head for communication purposes. This enables them to share data over an "optical voice" that's immune to EM interference. This also allows for coordinating their coreless grunt counterparts that require supervision to be effective at anything other than stationary tasks.

In the case of Jaz specifically they have hijacked a number of coreless Growler Infantry Mk4-J battlesynths to act as extensions of Jaz.

Due to the complexity of transmitting such a volume of data over multiple beams back and forth only up to 3 responder modules can be fully manually controlled while getting full information from them simultaneously. This can be extended up to 12(3x3) simultaneous "perfect" connections if multiple command modules are networked.

In a pinch the right eye housing the command module laser can be used as a weapon or a firestarter.

Back of helmet can receive optical voice transmissions.

The head under the helmet is also a "social module" for conversing with non-synth personnel and civilians.
