Standing at 4'0'', which is a respectable height for a halfling, they are stout and swathed in layers, belts, and materials. Their gloves and boots are always stained with unmentionable substances. They have covered one eye with a bandage. Their hair is short, black, and always messy and their skin is a medium brown.

### Backstory --- An unfortunate side character discarded by the narrative, Raviaki Silverspark was once an unwilling member of an adventuring party, journeying to save the realm from the onslaught of an evil goddess. Born dirt poor to a sickly single mother, Ravi turned to drug making and drug dealing to pay the bills at an early age, discovering an affinity for potion making. However, after their mother passed, they got arrested for drug dealing and was conscripted into a realm saving adventure in exchange for their freedom. However, as it turned out the plague was a curse by an evil goddess, seeking foothold in the realm. As the party found divine magic to release the realm from the goddess' grip, she found refuge inside Ravi instead. Desperate to keep the infection at bay, their party put them in a cave and rolled a rock over the entrance. ### Personality --- Ravi is cantankerous at the best of times. They've never been quite comfortable, and they're almost always on edge, even when they weren't a cursed host to an evil goddess. They're terrified of death and will do anything to survive, even at the risk of spreading the plague. However, what they want most is to live a life of luxury, safety and security, and that is not compatible with a plague apocalypse, so they're constantly fighting with their passenger in their dreams. They are constantly sleep deprived, unused to the concept of receiving help, and still stinging from recent betrayal. They're stubborn as hell, clever, and can brew a powerful potion provided they have proper ingredients. They are thus, always stuffing random shit into their many pockets and pouches, and are completely comfortable with butchering a corpse to get at ingredients. They tend *not* to get high on their own supply because they prefer to be in perfect control of themselves at all times, and also because ingredients are expensive and they don't have the buffer for that shit all the time. They're also sarcastic as hell, and uses a dry sense of humor to try and cope with their situation. While the majority of the population can go fuck themselves, they *do* have a soft spot, deep down, for kids. In another, better world, they'd probably do great as a pediatrician. As it is, they've got a hair-trigger temper that snaps whenever they perceive someone is impugning on them, and a streak of vindictiveness, though they don't usually go so far as revenge. They're secretive and defensive, and don't like drawing attention to themself. They crave safety and security and are, at the same time, resigned to the idea that that may never happen. This makes them cranky as hell. To them, money has always represented a safety net and that's why they're always hawking shit and trying to make money. They hate feeling vulnerable and they're not exactly a generous spirit. Only if you're paying for it.

### Abilities --- ##### Alchemy A powerful alchemist, Ravi can brew potions to specification provided they have the time and ingredients to do so. Even in an unknown environment, their familiarity with alchemy means they can usually find acceptable substitutes for traditional ingredients. These potions can do anything from providing flight and agility, to breathing fire and acid, to healing wounds and poisons. And of course, drugs. They have several ways to deliver potions- the most easiest way is drinking it, but they can make tablets to dissolve under the tongue, salves, sprays, anything your imagination can extend to. They will be purchasing a crossbow with special bolts that have a glass that shatters to release potions from The Iron Claw, as well as regular bolts. ##### Running For a creature so short in stature, they really are quite good at running the fuck away. They're a bit of a free runner, even, scrambling across walls, jumping over ditches, climbing up poles. ##### Thievery A denizen of the underworld, Ravi knows their way around a lock. They can pick pocket too, if pushed to it. Not their best skill, but useful. ##### Inventory Ravi is always on the look out for ingredients that could be, just *maybe*, be useful. They have many pockets and pouches that contain oddities galore. It also doesn't help that they have some sticky fingers at times. In terms of combat, they are armed with a belt knife, a solid stone mortar and pestle, and a cast iron cauldron the size of a grapefruit. Their inventory of potions is completely empty as of right now, but they will have the opportunity to brew some before the tournament. They have a bunch of pockets sewn into their cape that holds their accumulated ingredients. Their alchemy kit is small, modular, and flexible. They swap things around as necessary, and they do have a bag of holding for all their equipment. This means, they can have pretty much whatever, so long as it fits the vibe. Their alchemical shenanigans have more of a low fantasy vibe and I'm pulling strongly from historical medicine and chemistry. That said, they do use magic to achieve affects, usually through charms and stuff, for example, to chill and freeze potions and ingredients. Their apron is made of a thick canvas that could act as armor against slashes and stabs. Their gloves are thick leather and they have leather tassets that are more inventory than armor, but will still protect them from a blow. ##### Tag Their tag is a medallion worn around the neck that they generally wear stuffed under their shirt. ##### Infection Ravi, having been infected by Irra, goddess of plague, has been cursed/gifted with weeping sores that will spread the contagion. The Weeping One's curse is a virulent plague that manifests with high fevers and open sores that produce pus. As the disease progresses, things escalate to hallucinations and sores in the eyes that ooze pus, giving the appearance of weeping, blinding the patient. Ravi has been keeping these *firmly* covered and have been managing the illness with alchemy. This is less of an ability and more of a curse. ### Strengths --- They're *very* good at alchemy. They can make potions to specification, and they can be very powerful. However, these potions require time and ingredients, as well as a proper set up. They need a certain amount of infrastructure to make new potions. They're good at improvisation and being very clever, and they have a pragmatic ruthlessness that does, in fact, extend to cheating. The stakes are too high, and they don't have enough faith in their combat ability to not cheat. ### Weaknesses --- They're kind of a coward. They don't like pain and they aren't very good at fighting directly. They need a lot of set up to be able to do very much in battle. They are currently playing unwilling host to an evil goddess. This manifests as an incurable, deadly disease they are holding at bay with their alchemical talents. They're currently missing an eye, due to this disease. ### Gallery ---

### Backstory --- Irra encroached. Irra spread. Irra had a continent in the palm of her hand when a group of pesky adventurers, protected by a certain alchemist's potions, managed to pry her grip from her armies and sealed away her divine powers. ### Backstory --- Born in 1870 to a peasant family, Corrin grew up in a loving home and had a relatively normal childhood in the nordic island country of Gaelia or East Gaelia, that was until she was Five years old. Her father was a huntsman, her mother an apothecary, living with them her detective uncle, her brewer aunt, and her grandparents, a pastor and his wife. Considered by some as a tomboy, Corrin would often play with her brother's friends and her sister's friends. Her family was driven into poverty when she was five then they slowly got back on their feet over ten years although they weren’t as well off as they once were. Once the proud owners of a house and some land, they were kicked out, as her family's secretive past came to light and a group of vampires, werebeasts and wizards hunted them across Gaelia. Blissfully unaware of her family's past, Young Corrin lived in the woods and later with a Romani caravan for a while, where her father and uncle continued to teach her horsemanship and observation/deduction skills. As she grew, she was separated from her family, nearly dying several times from starvation and the cold whilst searching for them. Eventually she found her mother and father, and they had slowly nursed her back to health with the help of the Bogdan family who lead the Romani caravan. Slowly but surely, Corrin's family had scraped together enough money to buy a small, cramped townhouse-shop and opened an apothecary shop. For a while, Corrin lived in relative peace, however she would see and hear strange and certainly unnerving things whilst she was out and about. She'd hear suspicious whispers of dark creatures and overhear her family talking in hushed tones about fighting, hunting them. Perhaps more unnerving, Corrin would even see unexplainable and frightening sights. Slowly she began to piece together a scary theory about her family. During a visit to a secondhand shop when she was 16, Corrin had unknowingly discovered a gold pocket watch, the pocket watch of a monster hunter, which imbued her with time manipulation powers, much to her chagrin and fear. On her way home, she and a friend were attacked by a vampiric murderer; using her newfound power, she outsmarted and killed him, just barely. Later, she had a realization, when she listened to a certain bible verse, Esther 4:14, and had an epiphany. Out of all the coincidences, she somehow got these powers and had learnt of her family’s secret unbeknownst to them. Perhaps she was meant to find the watch and use time manipulation to help others. Perhaps so. Over the years, Corrin slowly trained herself to use the time manipulation power, saving people from other dangerous situations or deadly incidents. And investigate why she and family were being targeted and why there was so many monster sightings and attacks. It was also here she learnt the deadly art of saber fencing, thanks to her friend, Henri. In the year 1891, War between the Empires erupted against Gaelia and all convened upon “the Gate to the Northern Sea”. She joined as a nurse, then a field medic rescuing countless soldiers and civilians from the maw of battle, often utilizing her time manipulation to save countless lives. Until one day, she saved the life of a major and a general unbeknownst to her and led their company of lancers to rescue several other companies of dragoons, artillerymen and fusiliers, allowing for reinforcements to bolster their ranks and thus allowing for a successful counterattack and eventually victory. For her outstanding deeds, the young woman had suddenly risen up the ranks, plucked from the nurse and medic corps to serve amongst the officers of the cavalry at the behest of the Major and General. At first, she wasn’t respected being seen as a lowly foot soldier who licked some high-ranking officer’s boot, undeserving and unproven of her title. However, over the course of the year, Corrin slowly won over the respect and trust of her troopers and fellow officers. For nearly two years, Corrin had served as a Lieutenant within the 9th Lancers/Uhlans Regiment, bravely facing the darkness, horrors and tragedies of the Imperial-Gaelian war. Slowly but surely more and more sightings of and encounters with monsters and wizards and witches grew more common until all Corrin could hear and think of was the war and monster-hunting. And then one foggy morning, she had suddenly found herself spirited away to a strange world, surrounded by even stranger folk. She found herself in a medieval-like kingdom, a land inhabited by beast-folk and humans alike. This was her first encounter with friendly magical/fantastical folk. She regarded nearly everything with fear and curiosity, until Corrin was taken by a kind-hearted man, who would introduce her to the people she would call her friends and eventually, family. But even so, it took her a while to get used to all the magic and strange folk. Eventually, Corrin had joined a band of adventurers, mercenaries and misfits called the Renegades, a motley crue of beast-folks and fantastical beings, almost all of whom like her, hailed from other worlds. Here she became the Renegades’ third and, for a great long while, it’s only human member. Corrin and fellow adventurers would fight cyborg death cultists, aliens, so-called 'gods' and eldritch beings. Several months later, even after going on many adventures and growing close to her fellow adventurers, her mind still turned to home. One day, she had gotten word that the kingdom she was in was hosting an inter-universal tournament. The prize? Any wish shall be granted to the victor, anything they desire. Her thoughts once again turn to home, to Gaelia. Perhaps a chance to save Gaelia from defeat, from destruction. To save her family, her friends, her comrades from death… well what was left of them. However, that tournament was well under way, but through the grapevine, Corrin had heard of another tournament with the same prize, a wish. But it was being held in the kingdom’s underground black market, it was a tournament for the most cunning, cruel and ruthless, fighting to death. Eventually she decided to fight for the wish if it meant her country and loved ones got to live, free and safe. If there was one fighter there that was fighting for something other than their selfish desires it was her, better a soldier than a criminal or sadist get their hands on an all-granting wish. During the tournament, she fought a wannabe hero, and killed tyrannical pyrokinetic princess and nearly died in the process. She made her escape through what she thought was a portal back up to the surface, back to her found family but was actually a portal to a dangerous and dying world. Once again Corrin had joined a tournament or a so-called 'experiment', overseen by a mysterious Lady, of warriors, mercenaries and fighters to fight once again for a wish and the chance to not die horribly to the inky black mass of sentient liquid that had consumed most of the planet. Alas, Corrin had nearly died again trying to save a fellow competitor from the clutches of a monster, nearly meeting her fate from using all of her time manipulation powers to save him. As the world began to fall, Corrin and Citron made their escape via a portal, hoping it was the last portal back to the first world she was spirited away to, back to her found family but instead it brought her to yet another world. This world though young and brand new, was war-torn and once again, Corrin found herself alone and without a way home. For several months, Corrin survived by selling her services as a bounty hunter and monster hunter. Here she began to hone her time manipulation, learning how to control it and enlengthening how long she could manipulate time. But she still couldn't control it for very long. By the grace of God, Corrin was brought back to her found family and currently now resides with them. She'd long forgotten about Gaelia and hope of returning back there one day. That is until one fateful morning, a certain fox arrived with an invitation and brought with it the memories of Gaelia. ### Personality --- Corrin, upon first glance, is an introverted, if somewhat, shy woman; she may even appear cold and aloof, appearing like an isolated, cold lone wolf. However, beneath this first impression of her, lies a deeply caring and sensitive woman, acutely perceptive to other people and their needs. Once you've won her trust, she'll wear heart on her sleeve as much as an introvert can and you've gained a loyal, compassionate, witty and pragmatic friend. Or to put it one way, Corrin becomes the most extroverted introvert. Eager to see and learn, Corrin takes a reserved but inquisitive look at newly met people or places. While Corrin may be idealistic, she does not see the world through rose-colored glasses. Instead, Corrin sees the world in an optimistic but honest manner. She can become deeply discouraged, or even depressed, by the harsh realities of the present but Corrin is Persistent and Motivated to take action nevertheless, even if it means doing so at a high cost to herself. Whether it be when she is friendly or aloof, Corrin’s snarky and witty remarks can set people at ease and laugh with a teasing yet pleasant joke or annoy and fluster those whom she deems worthy of that caustic bite. Corrin can be cheeky and impish in her love at times, often pulling pranks and teasing those she loves dearly, often she’ll love them even more if they can prank her back. Despite what most think, Corrin loves the thrill and excitement of a good fight. If an opponent is friendly, skilled and witty enough, she'll engage them in banter.

### Abilities --- ##### Time Manipulation For brief periods of time, Corrin can speed up, stop or slow down time. And for a huge chunk of stamina and health, she can either rewind time itself or see multiple futures. She uses this power offensively by either slowing time to “speed” up her attacks and feints or stopping time and getting in those much-needed hits. Defensively, she uses this power to dodge or escape. Slowing time down or stopping it whilst attacking multiplies the momentum and inertia and therefore power and speed of her attacks. Depending on the weapon and whether she is on horseback or foot, at speed or standing still, it will either double, triple or even quadruple the damage of her attacks. Whenever she uses her abilities, her eyes, particularly her irises, glows a brilliant shade of emerald green. Opponents may notice before or after she uses her time manipulation, that her eyes either begins glow or rapidly dims. Quite often, she uses this ability in short bursts in order to not telegraph that she has said abilities and also because it requires a lot of stamina and energy to perform. In order to keep this power of Her's a secret and keep her enemies guessing, Corrin will slow time enough to adjust her hits, stabs, feints and dodges. To everyone else it'll appear as though she has impossibly fast reflexes but of course only Corrin knows. Doing this light "braking" will cost her very little energy or stamina and she can do this countless times. To further not telegraph her ability, Corrin will wear an enchanted pair of round glasses that hides the glow of her eyes. However, if her true ability was revealed/figured out by her opponent or they think they know her power (i.e. they think she's a speedster or teleporter), then she will fully and openly use her powers. However, she can only use her power for VERY brief amounts of time (3-5 seconds without the pocket watch, 10-15 seconds with the watch). Any more than the five or fifteen seconds in the time stop, Corrin will be risking injury and likely death. Slowing down time is not as tiring as stopping time outright, creating a time loop or seeing into multiple futures and can be performed many more times than a time stop (e.g., one time stop is equivalent to slowing time thirty times hence four bursts a day). During these manipulations of time, Corrin can move around and interact with people and objects. But she can only do so to an extent as people and objects are practically heavy, unconscious statues. Only the things/people that she is touching and on her person are not heavy. They are aware of and can move within the time manipulation as long as she keeps her hand on them. But Corrin must be the one to hold on to them or they'll freeze or slowdown in time. Those who are taken by Corrin into a time manipulation will hear upon her using her power, a loud single peal of a deep-tone bell followed by the sound of a reverberating and simultaneous ticking of a clock and the beating of a heart. When she has stopped using her power, they will hear the bell 'unringing' itself and the sounds of the world will quickly speed back up to normal. Those who are masters of magic and/or very spiritually sensitive may notice the ringing of the bell and faintly hear the simultaneous ticking-heartbeat before and after Corrin uses her ability. To those in the manipulation, if Corrin has only slowed time, the world will be nearly silent and nearly imperceptible still in motion. However, in a time *stop*, the world will completely fall silent save for the ticking of time and Corrin's heartbeat, and the world rapidly darkens as light photons freeze in place unless one moves around. ***Special Abilities of Time Manipulation *** **Shadows of the Past Light:** Afterimages of Corrin and Citron, usually combined with Whispers of Moments Gone (listed below), it can be used to fool enemies into fighting or following a fleeting image. She often uses SotPL to take the hit for her or distract her opponents. The afterimages will appear solid until hit or dissipates. When not combined with WoMG it appears as though Corrin and Citron are moving silently. This ability can be performed many times with little impact on her stamina. Near Unlimited Uses. **Whispers of Moments Gone:** Essentially is the delayed sound(s) of Corrin and Citron, this ability fools opponents with delayed sounds, (i.e. the sound Her and Citron charging, faking the sound of her wounded behind cover). Often paired with SotPL listed above, Whispers of Moments Gone is when Corrin, at will, delays the sounds of herself and whoever she brings into the time manipulation by a few seconds. It certainly requires more effort to perform this ability than Shadows of the Past Light as she is quite literally breaking the laws of physics to delay sound itself. Multiple Uses. **Khronos' Deja Vu:** Easily the second hardest thing for Corrin to perform, Khronos' Deja Vu either traps opponents in a Time Loop where they relive the same 3 seconds on repeat until she gets an upper hand over them, or she escapes the opponent's attack. That being said, it is very hard for to perform this ability as it requires a great deal of stamina and strength. If she does KDV for too long, more than 3 times or 9 seconds, she grows weak and sickly, and her usage of her time manipulation becomes limited. Very Limited Uses. **Kairos' Deja Reve aka Weaving of Kairos’ Threads:** Undoubtedly this is the hardest and most dangerous ability to perform, Kairos' Deja Reve or Weaving of Kairos' Threads enables Corrin to see thirty seconds to a minute into the future or more accurately, *futures* to determine which steps allow her to win in very brief flashes of different futures. Whilst very powerful and certainly borderline cheating as far the tournament is concerned, Corrin is extremely reluctant to use this ability as she can't see what steps it'll take to get the best outcome, she *CAN* see what *MIGHT* lead to the best outcome but is left to the mercy of time to figure it out. Using this ability renders her greatly weakened and very sickly after use, often making her violently cough up blood and leaving her disorientedly nauseated. She must be careful and very selective on how she uses her time manipulation from here on out as she has a very limited number of stamina left to use if she has any left at all. Depending on if she used KDV or used up most of her stamina beforehand, she may even pass out from the sheer amount of exhaustion, and she'll take one to two days to recover. One Time Use for the ***E******ntire*** Tournament. After Corrin performs any these abilities for an extended period of time, she’ll grow tired as her stamina and energy take a big hit and she’ll require a quick nap or a big hearty meal to recover… After the fight that is! ##### Devotion Raised by a family of devout Lutherans, Corrin’s faith and devotion have seen her through thick and thin, being a woman of faith in a time of great and terrible crisis. In her sojourns across countless worlds, Corrin has come to appreciate her faith more as it has protected her, her first family and her newfound family from countless terrors and mysterious eldritch beings scattered across the weave of existence itself. This trait of Her’s protected her mind and soul from inhuman and otherworldly attacks on her, giving her an edge over more esoteric, spiritual and/or mind-bending opponents. In the case of magical/spiritual/illusionary attacks, Corrin’s devotion gives her a robustly strong resistance to both types of attacks. Her faith, if strong enough, can amplify holy damage she deals out with her lance and saber. Corrin’s devotion can not only be a great sword but also be a great shield and robust breastplate. For example, if a fireball were cast at her, Corrin wouldn’t catch on fire nor feel burned, but she would feel the knockback of it, although not as strongly as it would've been. However, her faith can waiver and thus lower her ability to resist said attacks though not completely. If Corrin’s emotions get the better of her during a fight and/or if she is overwhelmed by fear, unjustified anger or just plain hatred, it’ll lower her faith greatly thus her resistance. If the fireball was yet again cast at her and Corrin has little faith, she’ll feel the intense searing pain, become incapacitated for a while and be knocked back hard but she wouldn’t catch fire. That being said she’s not completely immune to said attacks, as she is a normal, fallible person not a saint. Corrin’s faith waivers and flags from time to time, and after what she’s been through it's easy to see why she falters, with how things have been going. But, although Corrin’s faith may waiver, she’ll still have it and courage in the most direst circumstances, even to her death. ##### Expert Cavalryman and Master Swordsmanship- Lancer and Mounted Grenadier Despite her being the army for a short period of time, Corrin is an expert, if not, a master of mounted combat. Since she was young girl, Corrin learned to ride and fight from horseback, playing then training with a wooden saber from her friend, broken guns her uncle provided, and finally her father's hunting spear in place of the lance. Following the outbreak of war, Corrin's mounted combat skills were further refined and honed into the expert lancer she is today. ***Polish Uhlan Lance and Saber:*** This is how most, if not almost all, shall see Corrin’s fighting skills as and they’re not completely wrong as a majority of the time Corrin and Citron shall fight with this style. Compared to other lancer tactics and fighting styles, which are relatively simplistic point and parry systems, the Polish uhlan fighting styles are more complicated, involving slashing, moulinets, and lunges with the lance and as a result a more ferocious cavalryman. She does this to conserve what stamina/strength she has for Time Manipulation, and to not telegraph to her opponents that she has time manipulation powers and thus gain an edge over her, but it's mostly done because this is what she feels the most comfortable doing. Carrying into battle, she has specially crafted lance tips from her adventurer/monster hunting days that can change the effect and damage of an attack with her lance. These tips fit around the point and closest blade edges to the lance tip. These are made with elemental crystals and gunpowder that upon contact with an opponent, shatters, ignites and triggers the elemental crystals properties, creating various different attack effects. Speaking of the Lance, the Lance is a modified M1881 Lance, modified with a much longer 17-inch lance head to allow for slashing/cuts, longer reach with thrusts and slashes and both the lance head and buttspike being made of silver-steel alloys with silver gilding, inflicting passive holy damage to monstrous and demonic/spiritual/eldritch beings. ***Shattering Elemental Lance Tips and their Effects:*** Made from molding clay, gunpowder, nitroglycerin and elemental crystals into a razor thin tip, these Shattering Elemental Lance Tips fit over the top of Corrin's modified lance. Originally, Corrin had made the lance tips as way of leveling the battlefield between her and far more powerful enemies such as evil spirits, monsters, eldritch beings, wizards/witches etc.; but for the tournament Corrin will be somewhat reluctant to use it on weaker, humanoid opponents. As previously mentioned, these Tips go over the silver lance head and once the Lance has made contact, the Tip shatters, releasing and igniting the magical dust which unleashes its effect on top of the piercing and/or slashing damage the normal Lance does. Tips can be stacked and thus have their effects changed. However, Corrin chooses not to mix different lance tips in order to avoid dangerous backfire although she may mix lance tips if taking on tougher opponents. **Embers of Vigilance:** The Tip explodes with a large explosion into fiery coals, setting the enemy on fire and possibly hitting other people with the rest of the coals, scattering across the surrounding area in fiery embers. Corrin can strike the ground near the feet of her opponent to scatter the embers over a larger area and entrap opponents/deny an area to her enemy. This tip deals strong amounts fire damage as well as smidge of mild explosive damage. The Embers of Vigilance also deals a low amount of passive holy damage to unholy/spiritual/magical/undead beings if struck by the lance or burned by the embers. If her faith is strong enough, the Embers of Vigilance will dish out very strong holy damage. *Near Unlimited Uses.* Schnee Flaute-Ist Fraktaler Klinge:** Schnee Flaute-Ist Fraktaler Klinge or Snow’s Lull-Ice Fractal Blades is a deathly cold attack, either freezing the opponent in a thick shell of ice or entrapping them in a field of giant razor-sharp fractals and icicles. If the opponent is hit directly by the tip, they’ll experience mild to moderate frostbite which will affect them for five to ten minutes. *Limited Uses.* **Abyssal Hell:** Tips which upon shattering, created a very small black hole that crushes the attacked and creates depression and despair within the attacked and those around them. The Black Hole dissipates after a few seconds and cannot consume entire persons, likewise the despair and depression created by the tips will only last a minute after. BUT Abyssal Hell tips deals strong gravity and emotional/mental damage, fracturing, if not, crushing bones as well as spirits, dealing great emotional damage and physical crushing damage for less than a minute. Corrin is down to the last two of these tips, much to her relief as these are very expensive and hard to make (both physically and emotionally). *Very Limited Uses.* **Pestilence’s** **Wilt**: This tip infects the attacked with a random illness and requires a dose of medicine or a healing potion and/or well-seasoned healer to heal, if her opponent doesn't possess a strong resistance/immunity. Those struck by this tip will have varying reactions ranging from breaking out into either cold sweat, burning hot fevers, sneezing uncontrollably, plague nodes, trouble breathing (wheeziness), itchiness, dizziness, blinding headaches and severe stomach-churning nausea. Pestilence’s Wilt only infects the enemy struck by the lance tip; it will not infect other people. However, it can backfire and infect Corrin if she is not careful in making her escape quick enough from its potential backfire (she really needs her time manipulation for this one) making her deep reluctance to use it all the deeper. She has three tips. *Very Limited Uses.* Mulligan’s Thunder:** Mulligan’s Thunder, like the thunder it has been named for, cracks iron and stone alike and pulverizes flesh, dishing out a very powerful explosive charge (pun not intended), capable of destroying heavy armor up to 10 inches thick or armor that is equivalently strong and severely weaken armor that's stronger. Mulligan’s Thunder also deal decent damage to intermediately strong enchanted/magical armor and shields. It severely punishes weak enchanted/magical armor and shields, cracking wide open if not shattering the opponent's armor. As for unarmored opponents, it’ll deal out a deadly, if not, severe amount of explosive damage. Corrin can also strike the ground with these tips to blow away opponents or their cover. If Corrin is facing a far more powerful opponent, Corrin can stack the tips, creating a more powerful explosive charge, multiplying their powerful charge twice fold. *Limited Uses.* **Mulligan’s Vigilance or Little Light Dragon’s Fists (explosive): ***Mounted Grenadier:*** Despite being a Lancer formerly in a *lancer* regiment, Corrin carries grenades. Thanks to the marriage of a mounted grenadier regiment and a famous uhlan regiment, Corrin’s regiment carried grenades and was taught grenadier tactics. As a result, she carries six grenades in the saddle and two on her person, eight in total. These are powerful grenades that can easily blow apart lightly armored tanks and vehicles (if they existed in her time) and can easily blast away cover (trees, small boulders, walls etc.) for opponents and the opponents themselves. The Grenades explode either upon contact if it connects with an enemy or firmly planted objects or detonate a few seconds after. Like the lance, Corrin carries elemental dust that changes the effect and damage of the grenade's attack. Although, she does not carry specially made tips for the grenades and the tips she does carry are not to varied to the same degree as the lance that being Mulligan's Thunder, Embers of Vigilance and Schnee Flaute-Ist Frakaler Kilnge. The lance tips are merely held in place by a mild natural adhesive glue made of milk and honey. ***Master Swordmanship:*** Skilled in several forms of one-handed swordsmanship, Corrin is considered by some (though doubted by herself) a master swordsman. She knows many fighting styles ranging from the rapier, the cutlass, the smallsword, the messer and buckler but the saber is her true forte. Therein lies her true mastery, having been taught since she was a young girl, Corrin has come to master this style of swordsmanship. Since she last has seen of her true home, Corrin has gained more knowledge and skill in saber fencing, learning to perform dual wielding and flashy fantastical moves that would’ve been otherwise impossible to learn. ***Decent Marksmanship:*** Yet another skill acquired from her days as a trooper, Corrin is a decent shot with pistol and rifle, the not best but certainly better than most and that’s without using any of her time manipulation mostly thanks to her quick reflexes. With her time manipulation however, she becomes an uncannily accurate shot by, as said above, slowing down time just enough to get a clear shot on her target. In close encounters, she can affix bayonet and go toe to toe with her foes; she can also wield the revolver with her saber as well. However, both her rifle and revolver are powerful guns that have strong recoil (one being rifled at .577/450 and the other being a .45), making accurate repeated shots harder to land. Also, Corrin’s accuracy with her rifle is reduced while riding (that is any speed above a spirited trot) on horseback while her pistol accuracy is only reduced somewhat if she does not use her time manipulation. If she does used her time manipulation during these shots, it's very light 'braking', slowing down time *just* enough to line-up a shot but even then, there is a very slim chance she misses anyways. ***Good** ***Horsemanship:*** ***Artifice/Trickery:*** Corrin uses Artifice or Trickery to deceive, distract and/or disorient opponents to gain an upper hand over them or help keep an air of being either more dangerous, weaker or mysterious than she really is, to keep an enemy guessing until victory is at hand. For example, say if an opponent has disarmed her of her saber and she is now defenseless, Corrin would use whatever she has on hand to deceive, distract or disorient them; she starts chatting with the opponent and begins to bow her head but then throws the hat, the handkerchief, the candy and/or change in her pocket at her opponent to surprise and disorient them before punching them to further disorient and rearm herself with her saber. The reason she does Artifice largely stems from the fact that she is a glass cannon in a world of magicians, monsters, supernatural beings and otherworldly entities that could easily wipe the floor with any human. And despite her time manipulation, she is just a mere human. So, to provide either an escape, distraction, briefly incapacitate, or cause her opponents to underestimate her, Corrin will put on the airs of either a mere cavalier during the fights of the tournament, helped by sparse use of her time manipulation and glasses that hide the glow her eyes. Because most people aren’t gun savvy, Corrin will make her reloading of the Martini Henry look like a normal level action instead of its true single shot nature with help of her time manipulation. \--------------- ***Special Attacks:*** Whilst Corrin may fight normally in the style of an uhlan and her opponents may only view her as such, she has several tricks up her sleeve. This is list of specialized and trump-card attacks and moves that Corrin has. She will not reveal this deck of cards right away until she is either cornered into a tough situation, or found out to be a time manipulator, a monster hunter or thought to be a speedster/teleporter after which the gloves come off and she fights openly with these moves for the rest of the match and tournament. If she is feeling comfortable enough, she may give her opponent a peek with one or couple these moves if an opponent is friendly enough. ***Special Saber and/or Lance Attacks on Foot:*** **Blossom of the Sunflower:** Performed with dual sabers and with her gold szabla ignited and whilst sidestepping an opponent, Corrin slashes upward on an opponent's torso with both sabers, leaving a fiery trail of golden flames and green plasma which flare out like leaves before she simultaneously passing along side and wheeling Charlotte over her head before striking the top of the enemy’s head with it, causing bright explosion of golden-orange flames. If done whilst using her Time Manipulation, it’ll appear as though there was a sunflower of light. Limited Uses. **Piercing Talon and Vengeful Maw:** A thrusting stab with the lance to pull her enemy towards her followed by several stabs and/or slashes with her saber; if she is using her Time Powers then after the slashing/stabbing, the opponent gets thrown over her head and down with the lance, knocking them off of it; if not using time powers, then Corrin either kicks or repeatedly strikes opponent off the lance by using the pommel or bottom of her saber’s/szabla’s handle. Must be wielding saber and lance. Limited Uses. **Dance of the Sabers:** A flurry of duel saber feints and attacks going around the enemy appearing like a Cossack saber dance crossed with leg movement of ballroom dancing, opponents are overwhelmed at the speed and number of attacks as Corrin slashes at the arms, legs, joints, hands, back and head of the opponent to either open them up to the finishing move or hack them to ribbons; if done whilst barely using her time manipulation, Corrin will appear like a very flashy dancer-swordsman. If done with near full use of her time manipulation, Corrin will be near unstoppable. Limited Uses. **Blade of St. George:** If Corrin’s Faith is high enough, all attacks, except for Pestilence’s Wilt and Abyssal Hell, are quadrupled in damage and her time manipulation has unlimited uses and can be used to its full potential. All spiritual attacks and illusions/mind tricks are rendered impotent and useless for a time. Naturally Occurring Powers are not affected. Very Limited Uses. **Whirling Wheel of Time:** *Special Attacks on Horseback:*** Charge of the Saint: A devastating blow to magical/spiritual/undead beings, a very powerful blow to normal beings: Corrin and Citron charge at an enemy with the outline of a flaming, holy lance/saber over Corrin’s normal lance/saber, hurting both their opponent’s body and soul, taking away for a very brief time their powers and regeneration/healing. A deeply incapacitating if not, fatal blow to evil spirits/monsters. Must be done with high faith and ignited Charlotte or Embers of Vigilance Lance. Very Limited Uses. Zorn der Stahllanze or Furia Stalowej Lancy (Fury of the Steel Lance):** A ferocious repeated charge or dive with the lance at an enemy whilst using Time Manipulation to multiply its momentum and thus its destructive power. If diving, Corrin Near Unlimited Uses. Wyrmsbane:** *Special Grenade and Firearm Attacks:* **Leaden Rain, Steel Hail:** A storm of bullets, grenades, afterimage bayonets, lances and sabers surrounding an opponent, Corrin actually slashes and stabs the opponent as the bullets strike and her grenades explode around them. Uses up most of her gun’s ammunition and grenades, Very Limited Uses ### Strengths --- ***Observation and Deductions:*** Corrin has always been a bit of an observant person, often taking note of physical characteristics, mannerisms and subtle traits/actions/details that people often miss. Her observational tendencies stem from her introverted, somewhat shy personality and teachings from her detective uncle and huntsman father. But of course, it comes at cost, that being it makes her come across to others as either a loner, slow-minded, or overly analytical. This greatly aids her in everyday life and combat. As Corrin is a bit of a glass cannon herself, she is quick to identify strengths and weaknesses to her advantage or offer a peaceful way to diffuse the situation. She does some light deduction as well but does not rely on it preferring to build a solid foundation of evidence. ***Swordsmanship AKA Saber Sword Master:** *Corrin’s forte lies with sword fencing as she knows, to various degrees of mastery, 4 different sword fighting styles ranging from the Rapier and Dagger (novice level), Smallsword/Spadroon (slightly better than novice level), the Cutlass (moderately good, cutlasses being similar to sabers), and finally the Saber. Corrin’s forte lies particularly with Polish Saber fencing. She’s wickedly fast with the saber, employing Polish Saber fencing to the fullest with its fast, flowing attacks. This style of saber fencing is devastating against cutlasses, smallswords and Messer swords. It also can be challenging for longswords, rapiers and other saber fencing styles to effectively combat against it. This strength is greatly aided (and could possibly be hindered) by her reflexes and the occasional use of her time manipulation, making the flurry of precise attacks all the harder to fight against. ***Time Manipulation:*** ***Tenacious:*** ***Charmingly Kind:*** ### Weaknesses --- ***Merely Human (Glass Cannon):*** Even with her time manipulation ability and heightened reflexes, Corrin is only human. She is susceptible to all the injuries, wounds and afflictions that come with being human. Corrin also does not wear armor as she comes from a time period where plate and mail is obsolete and bulletproof armor was nothing more than a pipe dream, making her more vulnerable than most fighters. It is further worsened by the fact Corrin has low pain tolerance, making her truly a glass cannon. ***Underdeveloped/Momentary Usage of Time Manipulation:*** Corrin, not knowing the full extent of her power, decides not to rely greatly upon them as she believes it is dangerous to herself (possibly to others) and should only be used as needed. Corrin has some understanding of how her time manipulation works but does not know it completely. She knows that if she goes beyond 10 to 15 seconds, she’ll start to grow dizzily nauseated and may vomit but will be alright in three hours or two. If she goes beyond 20 seconds, Corrin will grow weak as her stamina and strength is practically halved and she will vomit. She’ll develop a bloody nose too and will require about a day of rest to recover. If she goes beyond 35 seconds, Corrin starts to cough up blood with her stamina and strength being whittled down to a very sickly state. She might faint as well and she will need at least 2-3 days to recover. Trying to go back in time will be suicide as Corrin’s first and last attempt nearly killed her, unable to even go back a millisecond. However, the pocket watch helps negate the more severe effects (such as fainting, dizziness and reducing her recovery time down from a few hours to less than 2 minutes) and helps Corrin last longer in these time stops by increasing the amount of time she can spend within the stop (i.e., from 3-5 sec. to 10-15 seconds). However, even with the watch, the amount of times Corrin can safely perform time stops is still limited not unlimited. If she goes into the 12-15 sec. window of time with the watch, Corrin’s stamina and energy take a slightly bigger hit, making her slightly more tired. She may even immediately fall asleep after the ninth stop/28th slowing if she’s not careful. Last but not Least, the pocket watch’s effect can only be applied if Corrin has the watch on her person. She is but merely a Mortal, however, due to her Time Manipulation powers, Corrin has unintentionally slowed her aging down dramatically thus greatly extending her lifespan, unbeknownst to her. ***Emotionally Vulnerable:*** Corrin, while usually seen as calm and collected, is actually highly emotional. Her cool and collected appearance is merely a veneer she puts on, especially around strangers and those she is not close with. This veneer comes off around her loved ones, friends and, to a very limited extent, trusted acquaintances, with Corrin often wearing her heart on her sleeve. Her empathy and sympathy can be exploited if she’s not careful and getting her furious will likely cause her to become reckless. ***Soldier's Heart (PTSD):*** Despite the short amount of time she has served in the army, Corrin has seen many and, in her opinion, done terrible things, things that would make your stomach turn and your blood run cold. ### Backstory --- He's a bold, young horse that’s quite capable of endurance on long runs and is agile as a cat. With his coat black as the night, mane and tail flowing like an ebony cape behind him, Citron is named…. after his unusual snack! Well, he mistakenly munched on a lemon when he first met Corrin, much to his disgust and to her laughter. Her height draws attention as she walks into a room. Her crimson mane drapes over her, reaching halfway down her back. When the wind blows through her hair, it can reveal ears that are more human-like than demon-like. Her bubblegum pink tail is often seen twirling as it sticks out from under her little black dress – though it’s hard to tell it’s out of amusement, plotting or both. This and her behavior can often distract from the dagger in a black and purple sheath strapped to her right thigh – but that’s one of the more minor things she hides.

### Backstory --- > *Oh, I have plenty of stories to tell. But that one is a bit of a buzzkill…”* Scythe was around thirteen years old when the cursed Chaos Dice found their way to her. She, a bit of an outcast amongst her village and a magical late bloomer, relished having a skill beyond her levitation, but her loving family knew better. They were aware of the rumors of how ruinous an existence and how often short the life of a host of the Chaos Dice was and tried to figure out how to free her of the curse – eventually wondering if there was any way that didn't involve killing her and if doing so would end up being best in the end – but a roll from young Scythe, overbearingly tempted by her new curse, would obliterate her family before they could “save” her, scarring her in more ways than one. With it helping form her **Trigger**, such scenes had become her greatest pain and her greatest happiness all at once. Scythe would then end up wandering across her world and later into others – usually by accident. She would throw herself into various jobs and adventures, working for forces both good, evil, and in between, embracing “the level of chaos” she was then on. But if she was honest – and she never will be *fully* honest about it to just about anyone – she was coping with her tragedy with anything she could reach, losing herself in the euphoria in her blood that was now unlocked by the same kind of destruction and violence she was first exposed to. And of course, she was fine using the Dice, knowing it could be her end with each roll, but also adding to the then comforting thrill. But along the way – between a few friends, a couple of lovers and *lots* of years, screwups and fallen enemies – she regained a conscience as well as getting empathy, a sense of responsibility, some wisdom and a better grip on her worst impulses. The Dice would likely remain a temptation for as long as she lived, but it would no longer fully steer her life. One extra dimensional tourney going horribly wrong later, Scythe fell into a timeless void while escaping it and was eventually spat out into a new land. She attempted to lay down some roots for the first time in *many* years – while this was moderately successful and she has people who care for her and she cares for, she couldn’t help but think about her past wild freedom at times when she feels a bit…*restricted*. Then a letter arrives… ### Personality --- > Don't threaten me with a fun time, sweetie~" Scythe, in short, is a Chaotic Good being tempted into going back to being Chaotic Neutral; while she's happy with her current life, she does sometimes think about her past fun despite knowing the consequences tied to it and what a danger she was back then. She can’t help it with how long she’s spent as a free spirit and the tragedy that made such events enjoyable. Still, while she wants to cut loose a bit, she's careful about not crossing lines despite what thoughts may come to mind. This also leads into her recent habit of making sure an opponent is sure before fighting her and offering chances to surrender. Scythe unabashedly adores children – the more innocent, the better. With her own childhood a shambles, she will take the chance to dote on or treat ones she meets if it won’t cause further problems, helping their childhoods be a tiny bit more enjoyable. Naturally, anyone messing with that has her ire. While capable of having normal, pleasant conversations with just about anyone, Scythe is frequently a playful flirt and tease and will do so if they intrigue her enough – though even she knows some targets aren’t a good idea and refrains. Quite a bit of it is for the thrill, to see their reaction or boost their ego a bit; she isn’t going to pursue a relationship with just anyone. This amusement can randomly dip when she’s reminded too much of a bad or bittersweet memory and she’ll end up slowly disengaging. She doesn’t seek to enrage with her teasing (unless they are already an enemy of hers), but if it ends up bringing a better fight out of someone, then it’s a happy accident. Scythe is the type to usually be smiling unless something has truly enraged her. She only addresses people by their name about a third of the time, usually calling them “sweetie” instead. She gives more personalized nicknames when they’ve become her friend or at least someone whose behavior or quirks amuse her/stays on her good side long enough. Such honors are not above being revoked though.

### Appearance And Fashion --- > Armor? Proper combat gear? Pfft. My travels have made me more of an ‘anywhere, anytime’ kind of lady~” She arrived wearing (what she hopes to be) her main outfit for the Cross Tournament: a black single-shoulder knee-length dress with the strap on her left side and the skirt being a bit off-kilter – a bit longer over her left leg – as well there being three clean tears across the chest. The dress is paired with matching ankle boots with two-inch heels. Her dagger's sheath, black with purple along the edges, is always strapped to her right thigh. She also packed another outfit as backup: a black criss-cross halter crop top with pronounced cleavage and matching short shorts as well as a pair of pink and white sneakers. She’s very open to trying out some new fashions via Crossroads’ shops, even to walk into battle with; she has never gotten to choose an ideal combat outfit and lost armor pieces in the past so she will fight in absolutely anything if it comes down to it. Her tag, a golden fox head because she liked the little familiar, is usually either around her neck or tied to her tail by red fabric. ### Abilities --- ##### Chaos Demon Physiology > The…*rush* as you call it...it's beyond incredible. I guess. But that's probably also why my kind usually die young.” Scythe’s body is harder to cut and damage, though her pain receptors still behave normally. In addition, a Chaos Demon’s adrenaline is more potent than with most humanoids, giving a sense of euphoria when in high enough levels. Getting to such levels is different for each Chaos Demon; what activity that will consistently start that rise and get them to that level is referred to as their **Trigger** and it’s something usually made in their formative years or after a major event; currently for Scythe, her Trigger is intense destruction or combat – seeing it or taking part. ##### Chaos Dice > I do not know how I keep surviving and keep holding this back, but I can figure out what *your* odds are a lot easier.” Scythe was cursed to be the latest host to the Chaos Dice – a fractal of the natural chaotic energies of the universe currently taking the form of ten-sided dice with sides numbered *0-9*. Each symbolizes a particular element or power; Red for **Fire**, Blue for **Water**, Green for **Wind**, Yellow for **Lightning**, Black for **Explosion**, Pink for **Shield/Barrier** and Purple for **Warp/Teleportation**. The numbers on the dice default to a silver engraving and glow on a rolled number. She usually summons them via her hands but has managed it on her tongue or her tail on rare occasions. She can temporarily allow a summoned die to be rolled by another, but it would have to be handed off carefully to avoid counting as a roll (she has only ever done this once before so the odds of doing so again are incredibly low). They can also be unsummoned if they haven’t been rolled yet. When summoned and thrown, the number it finally comes to rest on is the level of power manifested that Scythe can then manipulate. Even when it rolls outside of her eyesight, she innately knows what numbers have been rolled once they triggered, but not where it physically is. For most of the dice, this effect starts from the area the dice physically stopped and manipulated from there on by who rolled it. For Barrier and Warp, the number means the strength of said shield or the max distance/how specific the teleportation can go respectively, and the effects don't have to manifest from the die location. Even at its highest roll, a single Warp die can't send anyone outside of the dimension it was rolled in. For all dice besides Warp and Shield, Scythe has trouble fully controlling an **8** result and can just barely manipulate a **9** at all despite her practice. A 0 result can be thought of as a “backfire” or “critical fail” and its effect are meant to target Scythe herself in a way she can't control and usually in a detrimental way at least tangentially related to the element of the die – though her turning it to her advantage in some way afterwards isn’t completely impossible. This and the aforementioned risks of **8** or **9** results is why she usually only throws one or two at any time with a self-imposed maximum of four. No energy or mana is needed to summon and throw a die, but there's a background temptation for a host to use the dice Scythe has trained herself to ignore under normal circumstances. And the more one uses the dice within a certain time period, the greater a mental and magical compulsion to continue using them – this addiction is one of the bigger reasons all of the previous hosts are no more. That is something Scythe can't fully ignore at the best of times and can only resist until the urges pass. She also cannot use any other magic or power she didn't already have before she got the dice beyond workarounds like special kinds of enchanted objects. There is no currently known way to be free of the Dice that doesn’t involve the death of the holder. ##### Levitation > Look at you – trying to sweep me off my feet~” A power Scythe's had since she was two (and the only power she was able to gain before the dice), she can defy gravity and float/fly about. It's a bit faster than her typical ground running speed, but it won't be able to help her outmaneuver those with wings or faster levels of maneuverability in the air. It does use a bit of mana/energy to do so, but having done so since childhood, the cost is negligible on its own. ##### Trauma Dagger > It’s not the weapon I started this long road with, but I don’t hate it…” An enchanted double-edged dagger made of steel and silver with a lime green pentagon-shaped gem in its hilt that Scythe has gotten relatively recently. The dagger has undergone a lot of different names, but the name Trauma Dagger has stuck for many because it seemed to respond most to those who have experienced a lot of trauma over their lifetime. Scythe has a long life of such trouble; this has managed to bind it to Scythe as a result despite the Chaos Dice blocking her from knowing other powers – perhaps because the powers aren't truly hers or maybe because it is the cause of most of the trauma that lets it react to Scythe in the first place. Scythe is able to shift the dagger into other blade forms as well as create blade constructs of various sizes to attack opponents from a distance or to simply have a dual-wield option. Unlike the Dice, this does cost mana/energy to use; the bigger the moves, the more it'll cost her and risk tiring her out – something she’s been getting used to. And since it’s been bound to her, while anyone can use or take the dagger, activating its powers would require Scythe temporarily or permanently giving permission. ### Items --- > I'm used to packing light. What can I say?” Bracelets: A strange, believed to be enchanted, metal formed her tough bracelets that she rarely takes off as an emergency defense against attacks. While usually polished to a mirror shine, a keen eye will notice a bit of wear and tear – a clue that they aren’t indestructible. Either the enchantment has started to wear off or the metal is finally nearing its limit. Communicator: Shaped like a compact mirror but just slightly larger, this dull silver piece of RuneTech is for making video contact with others with a similar device or those able to match its particular magical frequency to communicate with it. Scythe will mostly use it to contact and receive calls from her roommates as long as the God Eater allows these extra-dimensional chats…and if Scythe feels like chatting at all. ### Strengths --- Scythe has been heavily trained in swordplay and with almost all known melee weapons, so she doesn't need just her dagger and dice to fight as she can grab almost anything to hit others with. This was something she was very insistent on learning to decrease her reliance on her curse. Scythe is also a bit stronger than most humanoids her size due to her demonic nature and the aforementioned extensive melee weapon training. She has a surprisingly clever mind, but it’s especially noticeable in a mathematical affinity – helping her calculate the odds of certain decisions working out. It's usually for any tactics involving the Chaos Dice or gambling reasons, but she can apply it to other areas like standard battle. She also has plenty of combat experience in general due to being alive for so long and all the trouble she's gotten into and gotten out of in various degrees. ### Weaknesses/Limitations --- Scythe isn't great fighting barehanded; while knowing the basics, she was never that great in martial arts compared to her extensive weapons training, so her efficiency slightly dips if temporarily disarmed of her weapon and can't grab another in that moment. She is even worse with firearms/blasters due to it being something she has rarely had to ever use (and a lot of realms she’s visited not having them at all). So, grabbing one from an enemy isn't going to do as much for her as much despite her accuracy in other uses not being terrible. As mentioned previously, Scythe cannot cast magic that isn’t her Dice or a special arcane loophole locked to certain aspects like her dagger – even magic that even children could do is beyond her while she’s cursed and most focus items (wands, staves, tomes, etc) do nothing to subvert this. While having a bit of a brain and capable of making tactics and theories, she has little confidence in any plans or battle strategies that even slightly qualify as long term that she comes up with for herself or include her direct involvement. At most, Scythe is barely thinking half a step ahead when it comes to acting on her own (¾ of a step on her best day) and just avoids doing things with a low chance of working out. And she doubts many plans will even work due to her bad luck, her past track record or just the Dice getting in her way. Scythe is just as vulnerable to collateral damage from her Chaos Dice as anyone else even without rolling a 0; it's a curse after all and it could care less if she couldn't manage to escape the various manifestations and will do her no favors. This can be from a massive blast from a high roll or the dice being knocked away before it settles and activates too close to Scythe before she can react or manipulate it away. Others can roll the dice if carefully taken from her before the roll officially starts. To add to this, a 0 roll would still only affect Scythe even if someone else is rolling it. While the Chaos Dice cannot be sealed and she can always summon them at will, if they land and attempt to activate in some kind of anti-magic zone, they’ll evaporate into smoke instead of activating. When Scythe's adrenaline gets too high, usually via her Trigger, the euphoria is paired with a further lack of impulse control. She will gradually become more reckless with her tactics and make more mistakes the more intense a fight gets if she can't calm herself down. Scythe also has moderately intense phasmophobia that she tries to conceal and work past over the years; she's unsettled being too close to (or gods forbid, touched by) ghosts and spirits or at least those she believes are that. Zombies and the undead are included to a lesser extent, but in general, she tries to deal with each encounter on an individual basis, usually focusing on other aspects of the situation or convincing herself otherwise. ### Gallery --- More pictures to come when able.

### Author's Notes/Extras --- Scythe having human shaped ears is considered a genetic mutation; she’s not part human in any part of her bloodline. Also, what separates Chaos Demons from regular demons has nothing to do with the Dice themselves. The Chaos Dice has jumped from individuals of many different species, including humans. They have changed shape and number of sides over the eons mirroring the evolution of regular dice, but they have never gone past their current ten-sided forms for some reason. While she isn't a demon of any faith, Scythe sometimes references Eris, a goddess of chaos in a realm she's spent time in. It seems to have stuck with her out of habit after mentioning it enough during that time. While some may consider Scythe young for standard demons, not many Chaos Demons nor *any* previous Chaos Dice holders haven’t lived to be even close to her age. Otherwise, just- hey, what the Hells are you writing?! *-- excerpt from Mira's Fantastical Words of Wisdom, Vol. III* Varila, often dubbed 'Vari' by those she has become familiar with, is a tall, bunny-eared woman of the Leporian race from her homeworld of Merydia. In combat, she tends to brandish a very unique fighting style which combines her skill with a katana along with her visor's ability to teleport its wearer - both to locations within the user's current dimension and outside the immediate realm. This has served Vari greatly when it comes to prevailing in a fight, but ironically enough, the device she relies on in combat also serves as the root source of what is perhaps her greatest pain. In many regards, Vari is indeed unusually strong when compared to other members of her race. A lifetime of training, spelunking, and mercenary work has ensured this to be true, though despite her durable exterior, those who have met her will oftentimes recall the ardent persistence with which she searches for her lost wife - Mira. Even when examining her from a mere surface-level perspective, Vari's love for Mira is most certainly an obvious soft-spot for her; and it is that very same love which has served as an opportunity for those around her to catch a glance at the undeniable warmth which lies deeply buried underneath multiple layers of emotional armor. Unfortunately, it is also a soft-spot which many of her foes have attempted to exploit in days past with varying degrees of success. However, it has always been a stern will and a keen ability to adapt that has allowed Vari to survive as long as she has - despite the scars she has sustained along the way.

### Backstory --- Named after the village from which she hails, Varila of the Na'tara has always yearned for a life of love and freedom. Like most Leporian girls her age, she was a huntress for her home village. She provided food for her family, protected her younger sisters, and dispatched threats to her people's safety whenever her assistance was called for. She was gifted - a true prodigy with a spear, not to mention quick on her feet. Still, despite the accolades she accrued from her deeds, the commendations she received for her skill in battle, or the praise that was given in honor of her dedication, Vari had always bore reservations about spending her life as a mere sentinel for her village. Even as a child, she desired a life of freedom. A life that she could truly call her own without being subdued by the demands of her parents, her village elders, or the Goddess that her people believed in. It was the very same people who honored her, however, that never would have allowed her to decide such a fate. Members of her race are oftentimes confined to the forests they were born in for life - their highly religious culture only ever allowing Leporians the chance to visit the outside world on sacred pilgrimages on one or two occasions. Needless to say, it was difficult for her to stand by and simply allow cultural norms to dictate the rest of her days for her. After all, how could her life be one well-lived if she remained stuck in place against her wishes? Despite her protests, however, it was the thought of leaving her sisters that had urged her to stay put. She loved them with all of her heart, and, for a while, Vari was fully prepared to reserve her days as a protector for both her friends and her family if it meant ensuring their happiness. Until, one day, her parents arranged Vari's marriage for her. Vari is certainly not the only girl to have ever thought of running away from home. Many within her culture have tried and often succeeded in escaping the confines of their respective homes, willing to risk complete and total exile in order to receive a chance at living a more fulfilling life. For the longest time, Vari rejected such a path. It was upon learning that she was to be married to someone whom she did not love, however, that Vari finally decided to take up the mantle of one of these outliers. She packed what she could fit in her knapsack, quickly said her goodbyes, and caught the first boat she could find to freedom... all without the faintest idea of where she would be headed. Hence, she was brought to the continent of Zircodia. For a while, life in Zircodia was the life she had always wanted. She made new acquaintances, took up the art of the sword, and happily performed whatever odd jobs were available for reckless runaways such as herself. Perhaps more notably, Vari even had a knack for finding treasure - allowing her to rack up quite the fortune while she honed the skills she'd need in order to protect it. It was difficult work, but for perhaps the first time in her life, she was living out her days just as she had always dreamt them. Even in a foreign land far away from home, Vari was gifted... but she was still a stranger. Cultural differences and language barriers aside, Vari's abrasive attitude largely prevented her from making many friends. This, in a way, left Vari feeling just as isolated from the world as she did back home - and it was a feeling that would stick with her for many of those days she spent wandering freely in the cities of Alak'an. That is, until she met Mira. Everything changed once she met Mira. The two were opposite from each other in nearly every single way, and yet there was an undeniable connection between the two of them which nevertheless persisted as the pair spent more time with one another. Mira, a girl of the Felynian race, often kept to herself along with most of her people. She was a bookworm who spent most of her days reading in shops and libraries, and while Vari preferred to spend her time sparring in the sun or exploring old tombs, she preferred the quiet company that a good story could keep her. They were an odd couple, perhaps - and one brought together moreso by circumstance rather than mutual interest. And yet, they complemented each other quite well. Mira was the calm and sense of security that Vari desperately needed in her life, while Vari was the danger and sense of excitement that Mira had long-since yearned for. It was not even one year before they were wed. Unfortunately, the consequences of Vari's reckless nature would eventually catch up to her. Amidst the ruins of a particularly ancient tomb lied the secrets of a people long-since deceased... a people that Vari had taken a rather keen interest in during the months leading up to her 'greatest and final' expedition. Within those ruins lied technological wonders beyond Vari's wildest dreams: holographic weaponry that felt just as real as any blade, androids that felt just as alive as any other being, and gear which granted its users various arrays of interdimensional abilities. The third amongst these wonders was what piqued Vari's curiosity the most, however - the All Dimensional Travel-visor (ADT-v). It was exactly what it sounded like, really; a simple visor along with its glove-like counterpart which allowed the user to input dimensional 'coordinates' and hop between realities. Smitten with the technological marvel she had obtained, Vari swiftly brought the device home to Mira as a mild way to boast her findings. She quickly explained the purpose of the device, all the while enamoring her wife with the prospect of multiversal vacations, interstellar trips, and adventure unending. It was a great idea, she thought; she could spend the rest of her days travelling the universe with her wife and granting her the very same fulfillment that Vari herself once desired. Unbeknownst to Vari, however, the visor that she had taken home with her was, in fact, a mere prototype. Operational, but still very much unfinished. This led to a rare malfunction which no amount of prior knowledge could have prepared them for... Mira, in all her curiosity and in a bid to impress her wife with how quickly she could discern the visor's technological workings, was transported out of her own reality and sent straight into another at complete random. All without the visor itself. Ever since then, Vari has searched for Mira with desperation in her heart and guilt in her soul. Though the database within the ADT-v bore no trace of where Mira had gone, Vari figured the device to work almost exclusively with alternate versions of universes which mirrored her own. Though the hope was small, Vari could feasibly find her wife if given enough time... but by the end of her first year of searching, Vari had already done the math. Time was *not* on her side. Fate, probability - both had turned against her. It was only when she received an invitation to the Crossroads that a new spark of hope found its way into Vari's heart... ### Personality --- In her earlier days, Vari was known to have a rather harsh exterior that she frequently presented towards strangers. She was brash, abrasive, even crude to a degree. This has changed, however, ever since the loss of her wife. Though she is much calmer than she might have been a few years ago, she is in turn much more emotionally distant. She is cold, reticent, and even somewhat unforgiving to those who wrong her... but within her damaged heart still remains a fragment of the warm and loving person she was once capable of being.

### Abilities --- ##### Ability 1 - Short Range Teleportation (Unavailable during Round 2, see Author's Notes\*) Due to the ADT-v's interdimensional capabilities, the device also allows Vari to travel within the *same* dimension via teleportation - albeit at short distances. She can also utilize her ability to teleport *multiple times* within the span of a few seconds, making it a much more optimal way to navigate her surroundings while in combat. However, it should be noted that this particular function of the ADT-v had not yet been perfected by the ones who devised it, meaning that attempting to teleport any distance further than 20 meters will likely result in the device malfunctioning. That being said, Vari has already incorporated this element of the visor into her fighting style and uses it quite liberally to her advantage. ##### Ability 2 - Interdimensional Travel (Unavailable during Round 2, see Author's Notes\*) As mentioned previously, the ADT-v allows Vari to physically traverse between dimensions. While it is possible for her to use this capability to her advantage in battle, interdimensional travel requires a significantly longer amount of time and preparation to initiate compared to simply teleporting 10 or 20 meters in front of her. Thus, Vari would only use this ability as a last resort - particularly if her life were in danger... ##### Ability 3 - Heightened Speed Unlike the abilities granted to her via the ADT-v, Vari's speed is a feat she worked to obtain herself. The magic of her world is vast in its abundance, exponentially increasing the rate at which her body's strength increases whenever she hones her skills. That is not to say she is faster than the naked eye or that her attacks are unavoidable, but one could argue that Vari is indeed *clos*e to such a level. She is much faster than the average person - even by her world's standards. ##### Ability 4 - Heightened Strength Vari's strength and prowess in combat are attributes she has trained tirelessly to earn. Years of hunting and mercenary work along with the benefits she has obtained from the magic of Merydia have all coalesced into a truly substantial display of power. One should not expect to see her ripping trees from their roots or casually tossing boulders around, but with enough force, Vari could render both to mere twigs and pebbles in a flurry of strikes. ##### Ability 5 - Hyper Reflexes Vari's nature as a Leporian combined with her experience as a mercenary ensures that she is rarely caught off-guard. Her rabbit ears are particularly sensitive as well, allowing her to detect the faintest sounds at much longer distances than one might expect. Her eyesight is particularly sharp as well; and, when taking into account the informational capabilities that her visor also grants her, Vari is able to use her senses to adapt to new environments and situations with ease. This is especially true whenever adrenaline happens to be coursing through her veins... ### Strengths --- - **Proficient with Martial Weaponry:** Vari's mercenary work has allowed her to accrue experience with many different weapons and fighting styles. Swords, axes, clubs, maces, daggers, and even her fists are all weapons she can utilize with notable proficiency. The majority of Vari's expertise, however, still lies in her skill with a katana. - **Unpredictable Fighting Style:** Due to Vari's ability to teleport in the midst of combat, one may find it considerably difficult to predict her next course of action in a fight. Whether she strikes from the flank, the rear, above, or even head-on entirely boils down to whatever happens to be her whim at that point in time. - **Strong-Willed:** Vari is stubborn to a fault. Even at her lowest point, Vari will not stop chasing something once she sets her sights on it. This is reflected in her rather aggressive fighting style, as she will oftentimes continue to engage her quarry until she has been pushed well beyond her limits. She will downright refuse to give up until either her opponent is beaten, or she is persuaded otherwise. ### Weaknesses --- - **Reliance on Technology:** Nonstop use of the ADT-v in combat has changed Vari's fighting style in recent days. While it is true that Vari is quick to adapt to various situations, one might be surprised to find that she would be considerably disoriented without the use of her visor - both physically and psychologically. This is because Vari views the ADT-v as her only lifeline, as well as the only chance she has of saving her wife. - **Low Stamina:** Vari's reliance on the ADT-v for both travel and combat has also lowered her overall stamina. Whenever placed into physically strenuous situations over prolonged periods of time, Vari can quickly become out of breath - especially when considering the fact that Vari is not surrounded by the magic of her world while in the Crossroads. This can not only lead to lessened stamina reserves, slower movement speeds, and weakened strikes, but Vari may become an overall weaker fighter overall if she is absent from Merydia for too long. - **Emotionally Fragile:** Everyone has off days, but the loss of Vari's wife has affected her greatly. While Vari is indeed a fearsome fighter and unusually persistent in obtaining her goals, excessive displays of cruelty or reminders of her loss and isolation can severely affect her performance in combat. ### Author's Notes --- - Given Vari's experience as a dungeon-crawler, the opponents she faces can expect her to carry various tools and survival gear with her. This gear includes: - A knapsack - Light leather armor (equipped) - Her katana (equipped) - Survival knife - Water canisters - Flashlights - Bandages - Smoke bombs - Also among her belongings is an unfinished book written by her wife, which Vari has used as a makeshift notebook while she searches for her. This book is not only important for sentimental reasons, but also contains a list of dimensional 'coordinates' she can use to bring herself back home or to other dimensions she has visited. - Opponents can also expect to find Vari's tag dangling from her neck in the form of a makeshift necklace! It is a simple scarlet ribbon with a golden bell attached to the end, just as the reference art on the Summer Leagues website depicts it. ### Backstory --- Parentage unknown, but it's generally assumed that her mother was a prostitute, seeing as Vivian grew up in a brothel from a young age. She was cared for by employees of various rank and went to nearby schools, but never fit in due to her environment being vastly different from her classmates. After graduating high school, it was only natural that she worked in the place that she grew up. Whether this is out of a sense of filial duty or a lack of inspiration to do anything else with her life, no one ever asked. In the early days she mostly assisted with housekeeping and bookkeeping, but her presence in the brothel eventually shifted her into the role of merchandise. Most of her work was as an escort, providing clients with conversation or joining them as a beautiful and intelligent side piece, with bedroom activities being part of the package deal. Work kept her busy, but no matter how intimate she acted or how close she was to the clients, she never fully felt in the moment, simply that a scene was playing out in front of her. This sense of detachment had existed since childhood and as she grew older, she fully distanced herself from others, assigning herself as a humble witness to their plays. This lack of belonging led to her pursuing various stories to see whether they were true or not, and one such story was of a shop that could grant wishes. Upon finding it, she wished to know where it was that she belonged, only to hear that her parents were possibly still alive, conducting business in the Ghost Realm, a separate plane of existence overlaying the Mortal Realm, where ghosts, monsters, and other terrible things reside. Consequently, she asked to be sent there. Arriving in the Ghost Realm she quickly discovered that all manner of beings around her saw her as one of them, despite still being alive and very much human. Despite this, she struggled to get by, never encountering a hint of her parents again, and with no knowledge or desire to return home. She went from surviving to thriving upon meeting with a swordbreaker ghost, who recognized her as part of her parents' lineage and has thus taken her under its wing, where she proved to be an apt study. After transitioning from a brothel to the Ghost Realm, the Crossroads will be quite the relief. ### Personality --- Distant and detached, Vivian is nevertheless polite and considerate of those around her. Her lack of presence tends to leave her ignored, but she doesn't mind, content to be a voyeur. Ever since she was little, she feels like there is a thick screen of glass separating her from the world around her, and no matter what happens, even if she is personally or physically involved, she watches. While she is curious, she usually sates any questions she has about other people by eavesdropping or snooping. While she does not consciously avoid human interaction, she is so used to being disregarded that she usually does not take initiative to talk to others. Despite this distance, she is a good conversationalist due to her work, and is good at figuring out a client's wants so that she may provide better service. This distance also means that no matter what she witnesses, she is able to take it calmly and proceed carefully. Even pain is not enough to shatter the glass. Violence is not a first or last resort for her, but after her time in the Ghost Realm, it is definitely an option. She prefers to take care of things quietly and avoid open conflict, though.

### Abilities --- ##### Jian: Er'Ziu Accompanying Vivian is a *jian*, a weapon made to break enemy blades. The "blade" part is a four-cornered steel rod with a pointed end that acts as an effective blunt weapon; if necessary, it can be flipped around to use the handle as an even heavier club. Affectionately referred to as Er'Ziu, it/he has taken Vivian as a protege, and when situations arise that violence is necessary, will take control of her body, relishing in the feeling of a fight. His own personality is a fair bit more vicious than hers, and believes that there is no such thing as overkill, but will honor an enemy's surrender. Er'Ziu is a seasoned warrior who can use even Vivian's body to wield any of eighteen traditional Chinese weapons, ranging from the dao to spear. Vivian, being a normal person, only carries him and and a hand axe on her person. She also camouflages Er'Ziu by walking with him as a cane, allowing him an element of surprise. A cord is wrapped around the handle and Vivian's wrist to secure their connection, but control of the body is relinquished if they were to lose contact. He can also only use her body for brief periods of time, since her stamina is average at best. Occasionally he is allowed possession to sample good alcohol and tea. ##### Self-Defense & Taoist Arts Vivian has been trained in basic self-defense techniques, and has a hand axe on her person to act as a backup weapon or if the situation calls for it. She has also learned various in Taoist practices for repelling ghosts and monsters, and is capable of warding areas to be unnoticed by those she does not want to see and protecting herself from a few instances of mortal harm. She is also capable of using talismans to attract ghosts, create small explosions, put mortals to sleep, and may ask for advice on new talismans from Er'Ziu. ##### Ghost Communication For some reason or another, ghosts and the undead perceive Vivian as one of their own. She is able to clearly communicate with them with ease, and can even enlist their help if they are willing. However, this does mean that hungry ghosts that prey on weaker ones may try to consume her, which is when the Taoist arts come in handy. It is entirely possible for her to ask them to target a person, with effects ranging from horrible nightmares to an overwhelming sense of dread to feeling like their every movement is weighed by lead or trauma. ##### Spectral State Her time in the Ghost Realm has not been kind to her. Roughly 40% of Vivian's body is intangible at any given time, but is concealed by clothing. While this would have more negative impact if she was still a sex worker, Vivian is mostly unbothered by this. If she concentrates, she can focus her condition to a single part of her body, and by controlling the location and intervals, this allows her to pass through physical obstacles. However, the concentration and focus required means that she cannot do this in combat unless she is anticipating an attack (i.e. a bullet to the head after a monologue). This does mean that attempting to attack Vivi anywhere that doesn't have skin showing has a roughly 40% chance of hitting nothing but her clothes. She avoids controlling this attribute of hers as much as possible since her and Er'Ziu have noted that the condition spreads the more she does. Anything that would hurt a normal person is roughly 50% less effective on her. Anything that would hurt a ghost is ineffective on her since she's Not Actually A Ghost, despite registering as one to any ghost or those that work with them. She doesn't understand why either. ### Strengths --- True to her being an escort, Vivian is quick to figure out a person's wants and desires and how to capitalize on them. She's very patient, and her lack of presence makes stalking to gather information easy, even without her spectral form. Even if she is taken by surprise, Er'Ziu is quick to respond, and Vivian can quickly keep her composure after that. She is also not above seeking the help of others, with no regard for pride. Once she has set her mind to something, she will see it through as far as she can. ### Weaknesses --- As much as she has trained, most of what Vivian is used to is social situations, ghosts, and demons. Her Spectral State means that she has limited control of her ability to pass through things, and over time her body is degrading and she is becoming a ghost. Ultimately, she is not a combatant, relying on Er'Ziu to take care of such matters. Even so, her body is only so strong, meaning that she either must end things quickly or stay on the back foot, playing passive to lure her opponents into their end credits. ### Gallery ---

### Appearance Andrea is an athletic pale woman in her thirties. She has messy medium, black hair with barely noticable red highlights and bangs that often tend to cover her right eye. She is at times referred to as "an ugly duckling" by her sister. Due to her addiction, her face tends to be abundant in broken blood vessels and her ruby eyes often look bloated and puffy. She is generally perceived as the unattractive one of the two sisters. She wears a dusty leather jacket on top of a blue turtleneck sweater, tattered jeans, and black military boots. She also wears dark-red leather gloves. Her pants are fastened by a military belt with her revolver holstered at the front-left side and a flask inside her jacket. She has a silver chained coiled around her right arm. ### Personality --- Andrea is a foul-mouthed (literally and figuratively) Canadian who struggles with her place in the world so much so that she had decided to find an escape in alcohol. She likes lazing around and is unwilling to work if there is no clear benefit to it (like getting money for more booze). She is impulsive and hot-headed, does not mince words and tends to keep to herself, although she does not shy away from all social interactions if the mood is right and the glass full. In general, however, she prefers solitude and often finds comfort in nature if, for some reason, a drink is not available. ### Backstory --- Firstborn to the Overseer of Kilak, Andrea had expectations set upon her by her father since the day of her birth. Knowing she would have to take over one day, she spent her youngest years studying the traditions of Kilak and surrounding region. When she was was eight years old, an outlander who arrived in the city had taught her the basics of firearms and hunting which sparked her interest. However, in the very same year her parents divorced as their views on how Kilak should be managed differed greatly from each other. Andrea stood by her father's and about two years later he remarried and had another child - Octavia. Andrea's teenage years were a mixed bag. On one hand, she loved being the big sister to Octavia and her new mother was a very kind woman, but on the other hand, the gap between herself and father continued to widen. Once she turned eighteen, she decided to become a strider - a skilled hunter and scout responsible for surveying and identifying threats and safe passages in the magical wastelands of the world. During her training, her already apparent skills with firearms increased substantially and she had also discovered slight affinity for magic. At twenty-five, Andrea was a fully-fledged strider. She became an expert when it came to the regions around Kilak and many excavators, treasure hunters or collectors have paid for her services. Her relationship with father, however, remained cold and distant. After she had finished her training the only interaction between them was whenever the Overseer needed someone found, or if the militia required strider’s insight into some matter. Several years later, Andrea had grown resentful of her family. She felt alone and abandoned by her father, disregarded by her stepmother as a “fluke” in her husband’s past, and even her birth mother could not help but to treat Andrea with frigid courtesy. Octavia being the only one who seemed to openly harbour some warmth towards her sister, but by the time Andrea turned thirty, she has become jealous of treatment Octavia received from her family. A year later, Kilak was attacked by a horde of monsters no one in the world had ever seen before. Andrea was part of the defences, but thousands of people perished, nonetheless. Eventually, the horde collapsed, but the situations was becoming hopeless very fast towards the end. Andrea’s own inability to put a dent in the opposing force, supported by the terrifying images of death and gore eventually broke her. She started drinking to cope and it does not seem as if she will be able to stop anytime soon.

### Abilities --- ##### Firearms Andrea is skilled with most firearms, capable of hitting a moving target a hundred yards away even in the harshest conditions. Her weapon of choice is a modified .44 Magnum – A 6-inch Dan Wesson revolver that has been custom-made to excel in the harshest conditions, be it rain, snow, or magic. It is Andrea’s staple that she always has strapped on her belt. ##### Silver Chain Coiled around her right arm is a 3-metre-long silver chain. It is soul-bound to Andrea, meaning that she can summon it at will. She tends to use it at close to medium range combat and often combines it with telekinesis to control its behaviour. ##### Magic Andrea can use very basic magic like Wards or Telekinesis. #### Survivalist Andrea can easily survive in the wild for months, due to her hunting and tracking capabilities. ### Strengths --- #### Dependable Whenever she is not drunk, Andrea is a very capable and dependable person. She takes any task she undergoes seriously and does her utmost to fulfill the mission. #### Brave Despite former traumas, Andrea is quick to turn fear into anger and determination and is not distraught by unfavourable circumstances. #### Improviser Andrea’s occupation relies on her ability to deal with unforeseen circumstances such as weather, strange monsters, or unpaid tab at the bar. ### Appearance Octavia is a fair-skinned petite and youthful woman in the latter half of her twenties. She wears a light pink duffel coat on top of a beige dress sweater and black leather pants with white Beatle boots as well as white leather gloves. She has long blonde hair that she ties into a ponytail. Her face is small and round which her sister often compares to that of a hamster. Blue-framed half-moon glasses cover her gold eyes. Octavia puts a lot of value in appearances and starts every day with a tasteful amount of makeup. ### Personality --- Octavia is an earnest and optimistic woman who wants to leave an impression on everyone she cares about. She has a great interest in different cultures and traditions and tends to approach conversations as if other people’s interests were just as grand as hers. She tries to avoid any semblance of physical conflict and looks to mediate arguments, although she often cannot see the bigger picture. She also tends to lose confidence if she cannot guarantee the success or if she cannot do anything to amend the odds. ### Backstory --- Octavia is the younger half-sister of Andrea. Loved and coddled by her parents, Octavia grew up to me empathetic and kind person who tries to see good despite the flaws and confidently bets on her optimistic approach to life. Before she turned ten, Octavia discovered that she was a Mute – a person incapable of utilizing or feeling magic in any way. This, however, did not distraught her and instead motivated her to focus on her education. She idolized her father, the Overseer, and she desired to be useful to him as a part of his inner circle that oversaw the inner workings of the Enclave. She excelled in her studies, and at age of 19 would leave to study foreign relations and economics in Osaka. There she met and fell in love with a fellow student Ayane, whom she would bring back as a personal bodyguard and the two started a secret relationship. Octavia became a well-known person in Kilak. Always the face of the party, representing the interests of the Overseer, she had pushed for reformation of education in the enclave. She continues to thrive in the politics and life of Kilak, genuinely hoping to improve everyone’s lives – her sister included.

### Combat Abilities --- ##### None She's the type of person that takes home all those little packets of salt you get in a restaurant, so she may throw some at you if she feels so inclined. ### Strengths --- #### Busybody Octavia genuinely wants to get to know people; to know what makes them tick. It is more than just a career skill to her, but a way of life. #### Educated Octavia puts a lot of focus on education in one's life. Quick on her feet and quicker with her wit, she's a firm believer in forfeits being valid wins in tournament settings, opting to exhaust her opponents physically and mentally with an endless string of counters and shenanigans.

### Backstory --- An ancient family of huge nerds, the Chorral household kept records of the old pantheons, from back when their world was a more bog-standard pseudo-medieval fantasy setting; currently, they're fairly well-to-do, using bits of their esoteric magic and divine connections to be conveniently lucky. Their texts and oral histories survived to their version of the mid-aughts, where Kiri's family was very suddenly accosted for being cultists in service of a death god; her parents are currently presumed dead, her sister's fucked off into the aether, and after the proverbial dust had settled, Kiri wound up with the death god that sort of caused the whole ordeal hanging out with her. As Azta's detractors, and Kiri for that matter, would learn, Streisanding obscure gods with a national news cycle in fact increases their influence, and Azta, already practically dead, was given the faintest breath of life, a spark flung onto miserable coal, but a spark nonetheless. Ripped from her comfortable life, Kiri now travels with Azta, spreading rumors about Azta's return, and sometimes even going full-tilt into the cleric shtick now that she's strong enough to not fear repercussions. Finding out what happened to her parents is a side goal, and keeps herself occupied with trying to fully restore Azta's divinity and adrenaline-junkieing it up by hunting down the organization that was bent on wiping all traces of Azta's existence out. (Also, unfortunately for Azta, his form is decided by Kiri, and she's a massive dork that played too many RPGs in high school. She is aware of this, and thinks it's fuckin' hilarious.) ### Personality --- Charming and eccentric, Kiriata typically makes friends easily in her travels, carousing in bars the world over, all the while seeding rumors of the return of a "dread lord," an old god of the end of all things. This dread lord is actually just her buddy Azta, and rumors of his death were definitely exaggerated; he's an old god, sure, but he's a pretty decent dude, and Kiri's family played the role of lorekeepers all the way up until recently, preserving the history of the old pantheon, of which Azta belongs to. Azta's obscurity and misrepresentation has lead to his faith dwindling to Kiri and her sister, so he's on the verge of whatever passes for death for Grand Cosmic Douchebags. Kiri thinks hanging out with a mostly-dead echo of a god is pretty cool, and the ego trip of wearing the pants in the typical cleric-god relationship has definitely resulted in a few episodes of maniacal villain laughter (to play up the bit, she swears). Tempting fate and seeing what she can get away with while rekindling Azta's spark of divinity has lead to shenanigans, hijinks, and definitely a war crime or five. Her sense of morality is both very firm on trying to do the "right" thing, but she's started operating outside of typical human scale. In some ways, Kiri sees Azta as the support she lost with her family, but she's too fast to let the feelings catch up.

### Abilities --- ##### Practical Magic She wasn't as into her family's lore as her sister, and much preferred convenience, party tricks, and pranks. Conjuring basic tools, levitating items around, making sounds or visual illusions, and that kind of generally unassuming thing are what she excels at magically, which is like saying you're a chef that's world-renowned for boiling water. ##### Martial Skill/Combat Experience Kiri's crafty enough to use her party tricks as distractions, red herrings, and to anyone unfamiliar with her reputation, intimidation. Outside of trying to gain the upper hand with dumb tricks, she's very used to fighting in tandem with Azta, her reach with her halberd and his bulk and sheer physical strength making for an obnoxious duo. ##### Divine Intervention As Azta is a being powered by faith, if Kiri feels particularly fervent, she can pull off dumber stunts than usual through him. ### Backstory --- Long ago, when dragons still flew the skies and prowled the depths, there was a terrible war between the races of man and the very land itself. Dragons, thought to be the will of the land manifest, revolted against man, who had begun using magic in excess. Though it ravaged the world, man triumphed after an impossibly long, thousand-year struggle (or so the tales go), and in the process destroyed most of the dragons. Aztachronopilas was a god of the end of things. End of seasons, of wars, of reigns, of lives. He needed reverence to sustain himself, and unhappy faithful cease being faithful, for various reasons. They're all attached to living, and fear death, so those two aspects were common and easy enough to address. While he couldn't edge out other gods entirely (he'd have to take their roles and he had enough to handle) he could at least make his an easy faith to follow. Unfortunately, eventually his lore warped him into a god of death, and the aforementioned great conflict tore the world where he was worshipped asunder. The rebuilding efforts weren't able to salvage much of the Old Cultures, leaving what little lore was left being intentionally disregarded as the people of the world chose to embrace life and new beginnings. Azta was of course entirely displeased with this turn of events. Part of his domain had initially included rebirth and new beginnings after endings, but having been relegated to a death god, he lost any sort of sway amongst the pantheon he belonged to, and faded into powerless obscurity. His followers dwindled until there was nothing more than a scholarly family left that had uncovered a shred of the Old Cultures, finding an old tablet depicting Azta as his original self. This family has carried this knowledge through several generations, keeping a small shrine secreted away in their manor, making sure to maintain their social status and not be seen as insane cultists. After more expeditions and research, the family came across more ancient documents from the Old Cultures, their line carrying the 'truth' with them through generations afterwards. Eventually, answering a desperate wish from one of his only keepers, he manifested physically, and has absolutely no idea what he's doing as a mortal. ### Personality --- Despite his permanently snarky, grumpy exterior, Azta struggles with his small scope pretty heavily. He describes it like looking at an eclipse through a pinhole. His condescending vibe and intentionally obnoxious speech pattern (a rough approximation of Early Modern English) often wind up being a front for having to process an eternity of tattered memory and newfound mortal emotions destabilizing him mentally at lightspeed. Emotion and doubt and all the other fun mortal experiences are something he feels he'll never adjust to. His memory crumbling away and having to rely on Kiri's family's records to even "prove" he is who he says he is a huge source of anxiety. He finds it difficult to not be honest in conversations, white lies about his emotional state usually pretty obviously false, part of him always compassionate, even if he didn't feel emotion as a deity. As a keeper of fate/time/death/birth/hope/tragedy, he has knowledge beyond mortal understanding, and part of his downfall was because he was a very chill guy. He tried to make sure mortals couldn't even come close to true understanding of his domain, because it would be too much for a life so brief. He worked through his followers to make life something worth celebration and death somber but not something to fear. Unfortunately, other members of his pantheon and the mortals opposed to his followers knew Peace Was Bad For Business, so they set up a string of events to destroy him a la 4D chess and the worst cosmic smear campaign. Kiri is a source of comfort for him, though he can't tell if it's a genuine connection or simply self-preservation.

### Abilities --- ##### Divine Domain Azta's magic pertains to his old purview as a deity, being cycles, broadly. A more concise list is fate, time, death, rebirth, hope, and tragedy, and the powers-what-be of his setting allow for creative usage of magic as long as it's justifiably 'on theme.' Usually this involves a lot of fire, as a simple representation of something transformative and both beneficial and destructive. (Wizards are pretty pretentious in his homeworld.) He also can perform minor "miracles," which typically boils down to remembering he stored something convenient in hammerspace or making something strangely lucky happen. ##### Large Lad His physical form is a direct manifestation of Kiri's imagination, and as such, is mildly malleable. Usually this just translates to becoming taller for intimidation purposes, or when muscle or bulk is needed. ##### Linked Communication Kiri and Azta are linked mentally by their cleric-deity relationship, allowing for communication at the speed of thought, emotion and memory sharing, and location tracking via a sort of mental compass. Azta takes great care to not share too much with Kiri, fully believing that mortals shouldn't experience most of what he understands. ### Strengths --- Built like a brick shithouse, indestructible as long as Kiri keeps faith in him (indestructible does not mean invulnerable) ### Weaknesses --- His magic is limited by having almost no followers, so between that and having to adjust to existing as a mortal, he's awkwardly inept in fights, opting to support Kiri, and the inadequacy feeds his anxiety pretty heavily. Also not used to conversation with people, he prefers Kiri handle social interactions, all of his snark and grump replaced with a clunky nervousness. ### Gallery ---

### Backstory --- **Simon was born as the prince of Dominion, a metahuman regime that controls most of the world. Simon was always regarded as an innocent soul by both family and friends who simply liked writing, maths and comic books. However this kindness only delivered him suffering by sympathising with humans, the eternal enemy of metahumans. Despite witnessing the deplorable acts humans committed, he couldn’t help himself from caring for them especially since they neared extinction. He couldn’t just betray the metahumans of Dominion, especially his family. This inner conflict brought strife to his head for years to the point where Simon decided that he couldn’t choose either side. Instead he would work for both sides; supporting the kingdom of Dominion and supporting the human resistance. Though this eternal struggle rages in his head, one goal will always hold true for Simon: peace.** ### Personality --- **Simon is an inherently passive person, not really liking to fight for the sake of fighting. Overall he prefers to avoid conflict and desires to resolve things peacefully. Simon is one of many who've been on the unlucky side of the world, and to do that he strives to ensure that people will not have to face the same trials and challenges he’d done. Despite his desire to help others he’s more on the shy side when it comes to actually talking to people. Simon typically has a more layback nature but sometimes a bit more nihilistic side can come out of him. Simon deeply struggles in having a balance of self confidence often comparing himself to others despite his great potential.**

### Power Name: **Slipstream** --- ##### **A power that allows Simon to both control water and turn his body into water. When in liquid form, he can change any liquefied parts into whatever he wants like weapons or tools. He’s even able to shapeshift into other people by coping with others ' appearances. He’s completely immune to physical damage whilst in this liquid state and can even duplicate himself whenever he wants along with regenerating his own wounds so long as a single cell remains. Simon can also control any body mass of water and freely change its properties. Even liquids that have a high percentage of water are easy to control. ( e.g blood, Soda, etc. ) he can also travel through any body of water, no matter the size. With all these abilities, Simon possesses a large amount of potential. Water weapons: Simons able to make weapons from his water body or create weapons made out of water within seconds. These weapons have nearly the same strength as the original, though they lack the same durability.** ### Techniques: ##### **Continuum Laser** **Simon fires a highly pressurised stream of water from his hand, being able to cut through anything. One of Simon's most powerful attacks is as simple as a stream of water that can easily slice through steel in the matter of seconds. Though it can technically be fired anywhere on his body, it’s primarily fired from Simon's hands.** ##### **Seaside Reflection** **Simon creates clones made out of water being able to use them for a variety of uses. These clones have many purposes. They can increase the amount of incoming attacks, setup decoys, surveillance, etc. They either act on their own or follow actions given to them. They also share the same abilities as Simon, provided they have a constant score on water they can last forever. All knowledge the clones gain once merged with simon is given to him.
