### Backstory
---
Born in 1870 to a peasant family, Corrin grew up in a loving home and had a relatively normal childhood in the nordic island country of Gaelia or East Gaelia, that was until she was Five years old. Her father was a huntsman, her mother an apothecary, living with them her detective uncle, her brewer aunt, and her grandparents, a pastor and his wife. Considered by some as a tomboy, Corrin would often play with her brother's friends and her sister's friends. Her family was driven into poverty when she was five then they slowly got back on their feet over ten years although they weren’t as well off as they once were.
Once the proud owners of a house and some land, they were kicked out, as her family's secretive past came to light and a group of vampires, werebeasts and wizards hunted them across Gaelia. Blissfully unaware of her family's past, Young Corrin lived in the woods and later with a Romani caravan for a while, where her father and uncle continued to teach her horsemanship and observation/deduction skills. As she grew, she was separated from her family, nearly dying several times from starvation and the cold whilst searching for them. Eventually she found her mother and father, and they had slowly nursed her back to health with the help of the Bogdan family who lead the Romani caravan. Slowly but surely, Corrin's family had scraped together enough money to buy a small, cramped townhouse-shop and opened an apothecary shop.
For a while, Corrin lived in relative peace, however she would see and hear strange and certainly unnerving things whilst she was out and about. She'd hear suspicious whispers of dark creatures and overhear her family talking in hushed tones about fighting, hunting them. Perhaps more unnerving, Corrin would even see unexplainable and frightening sights. Slowly she began to piece together a scary theory about her family.
During a visit to a secondhand shop when she was 16, Corrin had unknowingly discovered a gold pocket watch, the pocket watch of a monster hunter, which imbued her with time manipulation powers, much to her chagrin and fear. On her way home, she and a friend were attacked by a vampiric murderer; using her newfound power, she outsmarted and killed him, just barely. Later, she had a realization, when she listened to a certain bible verse, Esther 4:14, and had an epiphany. Out of all the coincidences, she somehow got these powers and had learnt of her family’s secret unbeknownst to them. Perhaps she was meant to find the watch and use time manipulation to help others. Perhaps so.
Over the years, Corrin slowly trained herself to use the time manipulation power, saving people from other dangerous situations or deadly incidents. And investigate why she and family were being targeted and why there was so many monster sightings and attacks. It was also here she learnt the deadly art of saber fencing, thanks to her friend, Henri.
In the year 1891, War between the Empires erupted against Gaelia and all convened upon “the Gate to the Northern Sea”. She joined as a nurse, then a field medic rescuing countless soldiers and civilians from the maw of battle, often utilizing her time manipulation to save countless lives. Until one day, she saved the life of a major and a general unbeknownst to her and led their company of lancers to rescue several other companies of dragoons, artillerymen and fusiliers, allowing for reinforcements to bolster their ranks and thus allowing for a successful counterattack and eventually victory.
For her outstanding deeds, the young woman had suddenly risen up the ranks, plucked from the nurse and medic corps to serve amongst the officers of the cavalry at the behest of the Major and General. At first, she wasn’t respected being seen as a lowly foot soldier who licked some high-ranking officer’s boot, undeserving and unproven of her title. However, over the course of the year, Corrin slowly won over the respect and trust of her troopers and fellow officers.
For nearly two years, Corrin had served as a Lieutenant within the 9th Lancers/Uhlans Regiment, bravely facing the darkness, horrors and tragedies of the Imperial-Gaelian war. Slowly but surely more and more sightings of and encounters with monsters and wizards and witches grew more common until all Corrin could hear and think of was the war and monster-hunting.
And then one foggy morning, she had suddenly found herself spirited away to a strange world, surrounded by even stranger folk. She found herself in a medieval-like kingdom, a land inhabited by beast-folk and humans alike. This was her first encounter with friendly magical/fantastical folk. She regarded nearly everything with fear and curiosity, until Corrin was taken by a kind-hearted man, who would introduce her to the people she would call her friends and eventually, family. But even so, it took her a while to get used to all the magic and strange folk.
Eventually, Corrin had joined a band of adventurers, mercenaries and misfits called the Renegades, a motley crue of beast-folks and fantastical beings, almost all of whom like her, hailed from other worlds. Here she became the Renegades’ third and, for a great long while, it’s only human member. Corrin and fellow adventurers would fight cyborg death cultists, aliens, so-called 'gods' and eldritch beings. Several months later, even after going on many adventures and growing close to her fellow adventurers, her mind still turned to home.
One day, she had gotten word that the kingdom she was in was hosting an inter-universal tournament. The prize? Any wish shall be granted to the victor, anything they desire. Her thoughts once again turn to home, to Gaelia. Perhaps a chance to save Gaelia from defeat, from destruction. To save her family, her friends, her comrades from death… well what was left of them. However, that tournament was well under way, but through the grapevine, Corrin had heard of another tournament with the same prize, a wish.
But it was being held in the kingdom’s underground black market, it was a tournament for the most cunning, cruel and ruthless, fighting to death. Eventually she decided to fight for the wish if it meant her country and loved ones got to live, free and safe. If there was one fighter there that was fighting for something other than their selfish desires it was her, better a soldier than a criminal or sadist get their hands on an all-granting wish.
During the tournament, she fought a wannabe hero, and killed tyrannical pyrokinetic princess and nearly died in the process. She made her escape through what she thought was a portal back up to the surface, back to her found family but was actually a portal to a dangerous and dying world.
Once again Corrin had joined a tournament or a so-called 'experiment', overseen by a mysterious Lady, of warriors, mercenaries and fighters to fight once again for a wish and the chance to not die horribly to the inky black mass of sentient liquid that had consumed most of the planet. Alas, Corrin had nearly died again trying to save a fellow competitor from the clutches of a monster, nearly meeting her fate from using all of her time manipulation powers to save him. As the world began to fall, Corrin and Citron made their escape via a portal, hoping it was the last portal back to the first world she was spirited away to, back to her found family but instead it brought her to yet another world.
This world though young and brand new, was war-torn and once again, Corrin found herself alone and without a way home. For several months, Corrin survived by selling her services as a bounty hunter and monster hunter. Here she began to hone her time manipulation, learning how to control it and enlengthening how long she could manipulate time. But she still couldn't control it for very long. By the grace of God, Corrin was brought back to her found family and currently now resides with them. She'd long forgotten about Gaelia and hope of returning back there one day. That is until one fateful morning, a certain fox arrived with an invitation and brought with it the memories of Gaelia.

Corrin, upon first glance, is an introverted, if somewhat, shy woman; she may even appear cold and aloof, appearing like an isolated, cold lone wolf. However, beneath this first impression of her, lies a deeply caring and sensitive woman, acutely perceptive to other people and their needs. Once you've won her trust, she'll wear heart on her sleeve as much as an introvert can and you've gained a loyal, compassionate, witty and pragmatic friend. Or to put it one way, Corrin becomes the most extroverted introvert. Eager to see and learn, Corrin takes a reserved but inquisitive look at newly met people or places. While Corrin may be idealistic, she does not see the world through rose-colored glasses.
Instead, Corrin sees the world in an optimistic but honest manner. She can become deeply discouraged, or even depressed, by the harsh realities of the present but Corrin is Persistent and Motivated to take action nevertheless, even if it means doing so at a high cost to herself.
Whether it be when she is friendly or aloof, Corrin’s snarky and witty remarks can set people at ease and laugh with a teasing yet pleasant joke or annoy and fluster those whom she deems worthy of that caustic bite. Corrin can be cheeky and impish in her love at times, often pulling pranks and teasing those she loves dearly, often she’ll love them even more if they can prank her back. Despite what most think, Corrin loves the thrill and excitement of a good fight. If an opponent is friendly, skilled and witty enough, she'll engage them in banter.
