Those who live here year-round are farmers, as well as engineers running the city's electricity-generating windmills. For visitors, however, this lakeside town is a dream vacation. The sky is clear, there are boats for rent, and the waters of the lake are always a comfortable swimming temperature!

A place where day and night converge in peculiar harmony. Here, the boundaries between sunrise and sunset seem to blur, offering lovers and wanderers a unique experience of endlessly extended twilight.

Ume Bay is a place known for its transformative pastel skies, pale pinks, soft purples, and muted blues. The sun hangs, suspended, on the edge of the horizon. The beach is dyed in its soft colors, and as the sun finally dips below the ocean, it rises again soon after in the colors of dawn. Long shadows are dragged out along the bay as this cycle plays out in suspended time.

Due to its seclusion and its blurred sense of time, Ume Bay is a favorite spot for couples to convene. Watch out that you're not interrupting anyone if you decide to take a stroll here.
