A woman willing to do anything to ensure no one will suffer like she did.
She is a soldier belonging to a mysterious organization, known as PARMA, which exists beyond known dimensions. This organization fights similar groups for crystals that are the key component in establishing utopias freed from many of the flaws of sentient beings. Their war is called the Ascendancy War. It was the atrocities born of these flaws Banafsaj bore witness to throughout her childhood. When discovered to be an anomaly capable of unique dimensional travel, she was recruited by PARMA to become a multidimensional soldier, leaving that existence behind in favor of one void of such brutality.

BackstoryBanafaj SafiBanafsaj’s childhood is a sensitive topic and not one she is keen to bring up. She claims the elements that best characterized this period were, “the atrocities of humankind." Any requests for elaboration were denied. Fortunately, Banafsaj would test positive for being an anomaly at 17, leaving her old life behind to serve as a multidimensional operative for PARMA. After undergoing 17 years of extensive training in various basic and specialized fields of combat, she was deployed and has been fighting in the Ascendancy War for the past 5 years. |

Psyche
Overview
The general psyche of Banafsaj is best described as aggressive, enthusiastic, outgoing, and brutally honest. Banafsaj is a woman whose traits revolve around her ability for violence and compassion. Initially, she seems to possess the mannerisms of a bubbly, outgoing socialite who loves to talk with anyone, anytime. The type of person to smile through anything that comes her way. She is that undoubtedly, but has an incredibly direct, violent aspect of her personality that will show in sustained conversation. When prompted to add her opinion to a conversation, Banafsaj will speak her mind, regardless of how anyone feels about it. If her diction happens to conflict with anyone in the room, she will verbally or physically argue to prove her point. The status of who she is talking to is irrelevant. What is relevant, is that they are wrong, which is something that has to be corrected immediately. Banafsaj has opinions and intends to die by them unless proven otherwise. She is not an unreasonable conversationalist, using and listening to logic, just an aggressive one.
Strengths
- Optimist: Relentlessly optimistic in the darkest of times – No situation can truly bring Banafsaj down. She can focus on the positive aspects of any scenario to overcome her psyche in the most bleak of moments.
- Tenacious: Motivated to crush any goal in front of her – Banafsaj has an unnaturally high motivation to complete tasks when given them, absent of how poor or favorable the odds of success are. She sets herself apart by continuing to work when everyone else is exhausted. This devotion is often admired by authoritative figures due to its value.
- Perfectionist: An individual looking to do everything with excellence – It is not just consistency in day-to-day work that Banafsaj prides herself on but quality as well. If she has a suit, it is pressed. If you walk into her room at any time, it is organized with immaculate precision. In a conversation, nearly every mannerism of hers is deliberate, almost as if they were carried out by a dancer.
- Disciplined: Always in control of her emotions and impulses – After seeing what the temptations of life can do to people, Banafsaj aims to live a chaste life free of selfish desires for things such as pleasure and money. She has immense control over her impulses and possesses an unparalleled ability to make rational decisions under stress.
- Selfless: levels of compassion reaching sainthood – One of Banafsaj’s less obvious positive qualities is her compassion for others. She is always tending to the needs of any person she interacts with, whether they be physical or emotional. If she receives valuables, opportunities, or resources, it is other people who are her focus regarding where to use them.
Weaknesses
- Stubborn: Will fight anyone to prove a point or die on a hill – Banafsaj has a very black-and-white view of the world where certain things are correct and others are not. This can often get her into unnecessary disagreements. When in a heated argument, her mind can be difficult to shift.
- Closed-off: Reluctant to form close relationships, despite her outgoingness – As a woman who cares immensely about her job, Banafsaj rarely makes time to foster close relationships. She may be an extremely extroverted person, but the friendships she forges are ones often kept shallow. Banafsaj can form close relationships, but she is inexperienced and somewhat reluctant.
- Obsessive: From time to time, can become emotionally attached to meaningless work – A side-effect of Banafsaj’s perfectionism is that she can become overly engrossed in the wrong types of work. She may spend a few minutes going back and forth between possible file names or fifteen just to decide on the right dessert to order at dinner.
- Preachy: Extremely adamant on (some) specific ways of doing things – Everyone has their odd strategies when approaching tasks large and small. Banafsaj has a select few of hers that she thinks are the best and wants to make sure you know that so you can do the right thing. This can be frustrating or helpful. It usually applies to minor things like deciding on wallpaper or picking flowers but can be relevant in more important scenarios. (though it rarely is)
- Future-thinker: Struggles to live in and appreciate the present moment – Banafsaj is always focused on possibilities. She is extremely attached to her goals and dedicates the present moment to their fulfillment. As a result, she can have difficulty in noticing the small details that emerge in life and appreciating the small gifts she is given daily.
Likes
- Her work – Work is life and life is work. Banafsaj is a soldier. Although her occupation is a very, very dirty business full of questionable ethics and endless guilt, Banafsaj knows her actions are going to impact the lives of billions trapped in the cycle of suffering as she once was. She dedicates extra effort to honing her skills and is a well-respected soldier.
- Staying organized – Staying organized is one of the primary ways Banafsaj’s perfectionism manifests in the world. Banafsaj's items are always sorted and never haphazardly placed in a container. If she has the time, Banafsaj may organize other collections of random items in the world, like jam packets in a diner.
- Socializing – Banafsaj loves to talk to people about anything. If someone new enters a social circle, Banafsaj is often the first to strike up a conversation. Friends come easy so long as they remain tolerant of Banafsaj's tendencies.
- Sparring or fighting – Fighting has a plethora of benefits for Banafsaj. It releases stress, serves as a means of honing her skills, allows her to get to know others, and is simply pleasurable. Fighting can be physical, verbal, virtual, or of any other sort. She cares not for the method so long as there is a friendly challenge to tackle.
- Listening to interesting people – Banafsaj is not an incredibly intelligent person, but she loves to learn new things. She is attracted to interesting people and will make conversation to get to know what they have to say.
Dislikes
- Helplessness – Banafsaj is used to dealing with her problems by taking them head-on. The idea of having to solve an issue by leaving it be or not being able to do anything about present circumstances is uncomfortable to her.
- Apathy – The thought that some people simply do not feel like helping one another is appalling to Banafsaj. She lives to be compassionate to others, placing scorn upon apathy as a result.
- Hedonism – Banafsaj knows what an addiction to pleasure can do to people. She strives to separate herself from such a lifestyle, and is reluctant to (but not completely averse to) interact with those who indulge in the excesses of life.
- Luxury – Banafsaj enjoys luxury things such as clothing and food, but only in moderation. A luxurious lifestyle is not one she has a distaste toward, just one that would make her uncomfortable if she were to life it out with so much power at her fingertips.
- The tropes of combat – Many of Banafsaj’s combat encounters are afflicted with all sorts of annoying tropes. She loves a good fight, but hates when tropes bog down combat. Banafsaj will usually disobey ignore tropes (ex: attacking mid-transformation) or verbally criticize them during an engagement (mentioning how dumb the name of a special attack is).
Appearance
Physical Appearance
Despite being a middle-aged woman of 39, Banafsaj’s appearance makes her out to be a young woman in her 20s, as anomalies do not age. Her skin’s color is that of robust honey, with artificial eyes that contain a black sclera and white iris. Banafsaj’s pitch-black hair stretches down her back in a long ponytail accented by white highlights near the bottom. Her face is youthful and full of joy, with an almost perpetual smile on Banafsaj’s face that changes to fit the situation. It could be of smug glee if she disproved an argument, or of genuine joy at the sound of good news. She is always smiling through the situation. As for Banafsaj’s physicality, it does not resemble either sex due to artificial enhancements made to her body. It only vaguely resembles a human body in shape, as its exterior has violet pulsing runes, artificial muscle, metal sheets, tattoos, and other tidbits engraved onto its surface. The sight is either enchanting or horrific, depending on the type of person to perceive it.
Civilian
Banafsaj’s normal attire varies daily, with her having a strong preference towards formalwear rather than more casual clothing. She has a preference for masculine clothing but is not against more feminine attire. Outfits usually involve a color scheme that balances black with white, using red accents and almost no other tones. Banafsaj’s signature outfit involves a white tie and blazer with a black oxford undershirt and slacks, with white shoes and gloves to match. Traditional formalwear that wouldn’t look out of place at a wedding. This, and most of her other outfits are paired with red eyeglasses and a red flower attached to her hair.
Combat
Banafsaj’s armor and weapons follow the same general aesthetic. They are made using sleek black metal with violet highlights in the form of esoteric runes or practical markings. Her armor covers her entire body, composed of sleek, moderately bulky protective parts connected using durable yet flexible fabric whose holistic design resembles a modern interpretation of plate mail. The exception is her face mask, which is a perfectly round disc white like porcelain with the black top-down silhouette of a lotus flower. The rest of her face is concealed with stripes of white cloth connected to the mask. As for the rest of her equipment, it is accented by violet markings and runes for additional protection. Banafsaj’s weapons follow the same pattern, inspired by practicality rather than fantasy, made of black metal with purple highlights and runes for practical purposes.

Abilities
Anomalous
Anomalies are unique sentient beings characterized by their innate ability to traverse and analyze the multiverse without the use of specialized equipment. With interdimensional portals being incredibly costly and time-consuming, anomalies compose the main fighting forces of those competing in the Ascendancy War as the only beings able to efficiently traverse the multiverse. Anomalies have a series of special abilities that assist their traversal.
This ability is the only one that will see frequent usage and be relevant to other entries.
- Multidimensional "Encyclopedia" - Anomalies can "read" the fabric that composes dimensions to gain an encyclopedia-like summary of important information regarding any dimension in the multiverse.
- For this (and any) tournament, they can read any OC document or entry tied to the tournament and its relevant characters. Information that is not mentioned on these documents they will be unaware of. Anomalies can be unaware of certain details by a creator's request.
The following abilities are unlikely to be relevant, but there is a chance they may be.
- Multidimensional Travel - Anomalies can travel to any adjacent dimension, although it is an extremely lengthy process. Chiifu has stopped travel outside of her dimension.
- For this tournament, this ability will see no usage unless Banfsaj visits another soldier in one of the God-Eater's parallel dimensions if the deity allows it.

- Anomalous Telepathy - Anomalies can speak telepathically to one another or to those using specialized equipment.
- For this tournament, talk channels are perfectly closed and are only relevant outside of combat if Banafsaj wishes to offer/receive advice or talk with fellow Organization members.
- Restricted Lifespan - Once Banafsaj reaches maturity and develops her anomalous abilities, her physique will perpetually remain at that of a young adult, and her lifespan will be at most 200 years.
Enhanced Soldier
To ensure all species can go toe-to-toe with any challenge the multiverse hands them, anomalous soldiers are given incredibly powerful enhancements that combine magical, technological, and biological systems. The product is a being with enhanced capabilities, both physical and mental.
- ”Cores” System: Max 2 - By default, Banafsaj’s physique is only moderately powerful and her power systems require a great deal of stamina to utilize. By inserting cores into her body, she can enhance various aspects about her body to turn them into major combat strengths. As of now, she can only facilitate a maximum of 2 at a time. The cores Banafsaj has access to are detailed below in the “equipment” section.
- Stamina - Banafsaj’s stamina is unique compared to most living beings. While she cannot become tired, excessive activity can cause Banafsaj to overheat and immediately fall unconscious. Prolonged physical activity while fighting is rarely enough to bring her to this state, even if intense. If Banafsaj lacks a core for them, using her power systems drains a great deal of her stamina. They are to be used sparingly, but still used. Light activity like standing and resting will allow her to regain stamina during a fight.
- Greatly enhanced mentality - Banafsaj’s mind is significantly more powerful than her body is. Any type of mental task whether it be related to memory, strategy, or analysis is much easier, especially during the stresses of combat.
- Greatly enhanced speed - This aspect of Banafsaj’s physicality has received notably potent enhancements compared to the rest. With it, she can outpace and outposition almost all fighters along with being able to effortlessly scale vertical surfaces and jump great distances.
- Moderately enhanced physique - Banafsaj’s body is superhuman compared to the rest of her species, but is only of moderate power compared to other fights in the tournament. Her boosted reflexes and strength will allow her to overwhelm fighters who do not rely on their body to win, but they will still be inferior to martial fighters.
Adopted Power Systems
PARMA’s experimentation and access to dozens of dimensions allow them to train species in the powers systems of other dimensions, and even combine them to create unique effects. More experienced operatives know more systems, with Banafsaj, as a lower-ranking operative, only being trained in two.
Combining Systems - Banafsaj can combine the abilities of multiple power systems at great stamina cost. She could change the effect of a combustion explosion into an antimagic one, or set her purity flowers to explode in monochromatic flame after a delay.
- Advanced Pyrokinesis: Combustion - The system of pyrokinesis allows the user to control various aspects of fire such as shape, color, and intensity, along with creating fire to be manipulated. The more intensely a flame burns and the larger area if covers, the more stamina it will consume. It is a versatile ability, familiar to those who are experienced with all sorts of magic, whose primary purpose is for combat. Some examples of usage include spheres of fire for ranged combat, walls of fire to obscure vision, and igniting weapons on fire for additional damage. Banafsaj’s fire burns violet, PARMA’s color.
- Advanced Field: Combustion - Banafsaj is extremely adept in the field of Pyrokinesis, allowing her to learn an advanced form of Pyrokinesis known as combustion. Combustion allows Banafsaj to select spherical areas of varying size within range that, after a clear visual delay, attempts to combust any matter in the area, resulting in an explosion that sets nearby material on fire. - Purity Arts: Purity Flowers - The purity arts are an esoteric school of magic with an emphasis on countering the abilities combatants rely on, regardless of if they are physical, magical, or technological. Banafsaj’s purity art manifests in the form of lotus flowers with razor-sharp black and white petals. She can instantly bring any amount of flowers into bloom stuck to her person, with more stamina consumed the more flowers are created. When prompted, these flowers can be sent flying at any given target with extreme speed. If the target is a person or object, the flowers can bloom or slash through the person, sapping them of the source of their power. This could be electricity, physical strength, a magical talent, or even emotion such as rage. More flowers making contact create a more potent effect. The flowers can also be formed into a nearly invincible but short-lived shield of petals that saps objects that contact the shield of their power. More flowers used increases the size and potency of the shield. This is usually a more costly option in terms of stamina compared to launching the flowers.
Fighting Style
Overview
Fighting Style: Adaptable Alpha Strike - Banafsaj wins fights by inflicting key bursts of damage on restricted opponents, although her method to obtain such a position varies based on need. She has a well-rounded toolset full of options for controlling and damaging opponents, but is sparse in defense and sustain. Banafsaj will use her mobility to kite short-ranged opponents and pressure long-ranged ones. When she has an opening or makes one herself, Banafsaj will use her available abilities to restrict an opponent’s ability to fight (antimagic bullets, stunning via combustion explosions, etc.) before following up with sustained fire from her rifle to end the fight immediately. If caught off-guard, Banafsaj can adapt her strategy to defend against any opponent. She can never hold her own for long, however, and will seek an opportunity to turn the fight around.
Strengths
- Core-dependent strengths – Banafsaj can acquire different abilities and thus, different strengths based on the cores she installs for an engagement.
- Balanced combatant – Banafsaj’s training and options in an engagement do skew towards offense, but still give her a response to most situations. There are few encounters where she will not be prepared for what the opponent can bring.
- Adaptable, potent offense – By far Banafsaj’s greatest strength is an offense that can work against any opponent whilst still being a potent tool. Being an anomaly gives her innate knowledge of her opponents which includes their psyche and fighting style. Her control and damage options are extremely varied, with guns, grenades, blades, and magic.
- Purity flower counters – Purity flowers further add to Banafsaj’s flexibility by allowing her to shut down the strengths of any opponent, regardless of who they are, or cleanse negative effects from herself and her allies. Their power as emergency shields is not to be understated either.
- Adept tactician – Banafsaj has received extensive training in warfare combining disciplines from across the multiverse. Her knowledge about the subject is extensive which reflects a highly tactical approach to any combat scenario. She will be planning before, during, and after the fight.
Weaknesses
- Core-dependent weaknesses – While Banafsaj’s allow her to become strong in unique areas, she only can have 2 cores installed at a time. The cores she chooses not to utilize can become weaknesses in a fight.
- Exceptionally fragile – For all of the enhancements her body has received, Banafsaj is no more durable than the average human. A single arrowhead or sword swipe that pierces her armor means instant defeat.
- Overexertion and burnout – Banafsaj’s options are restricted by her limited stamina. Heavy usage of her power systems while performing intense physical activity during a fight can quickly bring Banafsaj to the bring of overexertion and passing out. She needs to limit her actions to avoid this.
- Costly defensive options – Banafsaj does have defensive options, but they are limited. Her armor can resist all sorts of harmful effects but cannot withstand heavy damage, and her purity flower shields are potent and instant but require a considerable amount of stamina.
- Out of her element – As a PARMA soldier, Banafsaj wins fights by ambushing enemies who do not even know she is a threat and working with the combined abilities and equipment of a team. Banafsaj is not used to fighting alone, nor is her fighting style supposed to be for such situations. Working with allies in an ambush minimizes her durability weakness and abuses their combined offensive strength to trivialize encounters. It is in a fair, one-on-one duel where she is at her weakest.
Equipment
Cores
- Strength Core - A core that greatly improves the physical strength of its user. When combined with the reflex core, Banafsaj should be able to match the physical ability of dedicated martial fighters.
- Reflex Core - A core that greatly improves the physical dexterity of its user. Its value in solo combat cannot be understated, making this a near-mandatory pick for every round in the tournament.
- Pyrokinesis Core - A core that greatly reduces stamina consumed when using pyrokinesis. It can replace Banafsaj’s proffered Purity Arts core for a more distanced and destructive fighting style or work alongside it to magically devastate the opponent.
- Purity Arts Core - A core that greatly reduces stamina consumed when using Purity Arts. One of Banafsaj’s preferred cores to use due to the value of her purity flowers.
- Spotter Core - A core that allows Banafsaj to see things normally obscured based on their energy signature. The spotter core allows Banafsaj to see anything with a strong signature, allowing her to shoot through smoke, break illusions, and do other useful things related to sight.
- Blink Core - A core that allows Banafsaj to make short-distance teleportations (around 35m) at the cost of stamina. A powerful combat asset that would give Banafsaj overwhelming mobility and an assassin-adjacent combat style.
Armor
- Lotus Mask - A special mask Banafsaj was granted to assist in her journey for a pure self. It is a completely white disc large enough to obscure Banafsaj’s entire face with the black top-down silhouette of a lotus flower. The mask is on her person at all times, either hooked to her hip or worn. When worn, white strips of cloth magically protrude from the mask’s edges to envelop Banafsaj’s face. Despite the opaque appearance, it is completely transparent from Banafsaj’s side when worn. The mask and its bandages render Banafsaj’s head immune to physical damage and provide resistance against effects that would impair Banafsaj’s focus. Its main effect only manifests when Banafsaj falls asleep, during which she meets and reflects upon her conscience in a monochromatic dreamscape. Eventually, she will be ready to unlock the mask’s complete power, but that time has not arrived.
- Multilayered Light Armor - A lightweight, full-body suit of armor for Banafsaj. It is designed for front liners who need to act and move unencumbered. The armor’s protection is solid, completely negating stray hits, shrapnel, and light attacks. Stronger attacks such as moderate-level spells and focused strikes from melee weapons will make notable dents in the armor, with incredibly heavy attacks such as direct explosions and greatswords wielded by especially strong foes instantly killing the bearer. Multilayered armor is unique in that it is composed of various materials that reduce the potency of all types of effects when in combination. Elemental damage, magical effects, psychic attacks, lethal chemicals, and the like are resisted but not negated in the same manner physical damage is.
Weapons
- Ballistic Rifle and Handgun - Banafsaj’s primary means of attack are her firearms, created through a combination of technology, magic, and strong materials. They can lay down accurate, powerful damage from hundreds of meters away. Mobile foes will take heavy chip damage with immobilized ones instantly dying to a single clip. Her rifle is her best offense, with her handgun acting as a backup.
- Ammunition - Depending on the type of opponent, Banafsaj will take specialized ammunition to counteract their defenses or abilities. Some examples include shredder ammunition, which causes chemically-included internal damage in an area to organic targets or sinker ammunition which drains targets of their magical resources.
- Knife and Halbred - For melee encounters, Banafsaj relies on her halberd, a versatile weapon with a considerable amount of reach. Her knife is for very dire or close-range situations. The blades of both are made using a strong material that burns white when drawn and can pierce through most defenses, regardless of the type. It causes extreme pain and bursting of flesh to organic material it comes into contact with. The handle of Banafsaj’s halberd collapses into its head for compact storage on her person, and her knife is retractable.
Utility
- Cobweb Grenade - A throwable explosive that, upon detonation, releases a mass of ghostly white strands that hold still in the air and interlock with one another in a similar manner to a spider’s web. These strands are sticky, interfering with the movement of projectiles attempting to move through them. They can be broken with enough force.
- Smoke Grenade - A throwable explosive that, upon detonation, releases a large mass of vision-obscuring smoke. It is usually used to slow down the tempo of a fight by forcing enemies to engage inside the smoke cloud or elsewhere, where its vision is not an impairment during combat.
