A laid-back dragon with a mischievous grin. His messy gold-to-white hair scatters in the wind and caresses his face. He accessorizes with golden jewelry and a bow featuring two chiming bells. He wears blowing pants and a puffy shrug without any cloth to cover his bare chest. Orange scales shimmer on his skin in the sunlight. He slyly smiles at fair maidens while fanning himself, eager to catch their eyes.

BackstoryThe holy union between a divine kitsune and an archangel. Tenki possesses a similar personality to the father he's never met, and a drop of his mother's dimensional powers. He's vaguely interested in meeting this man, and idly searches as he crosses dimensions. He considers Crossroads his home, and the people welcome his presence-- he ensures good weather is present for the duration of his stays. His presence is a sign of prosperity and good harvest. PersonaThe Enigmatic Gale is elusive to the people of Crossroads-- he prefers to risk getting on the bad side of people outside of Crossroads, rather than within. He enjoys mischief and showing off his power, but he can also be laid-back and pleasant.
Outside of Crossroads, he's a playboy and freeloads off of locals. He can't be bothered to keep track of different currencies, so he doesn't carry money on him ever. He may repay locals with good weather, if he feels inclined. He may also choose to make life hell for locals for a spell-- wrecking havoc with constant storms and bad weather. Once the locals give in to his power and shower him with gold and treasures, he'll happily take his leave. Or if they fight back, he'll claim it's not fun anymore and run back to Crossroads with his tail between his legs.
Within Crossroads, he mostly keeps to himself and relaxes at various locations (like the hot springs). His preference in keeping the Crossroad's weather fair may be motived entirely by selfishness, but the people appreciate it too.
During the Cross Tournament, Tenki is mildly interested in the competitors-- but more so in their stories than he is in them as people. (He won't make any advances unless they do first.) He's willing to help cause mischief and conflict for competitors in favor of others, but that comes with a price. He is vain, and will be appeased by riches or magical artifacts.
His loyalty lies to none, except his mother and sister. He loves the praise he receives for helping them out, and enjoys relaxing with them. |

Abilities
Spatial Displacement
Tenki can displace space from one dimension and cause it to appear in another through a rift-- replacing the space previously there. He can reverse this spatial displacement, restoring the merged pocket dimensional spaces to their proper dimension. He uses this ability to change the arena for the Cross Tournament. His crystal ball is used as a conduit for this ability.
For the sake of explanation, the alternate dimension space will be referred to as Pocket A. The replaced space from the current dimension will be referred to as Pocket B. When Pocket A is displacing Pocket B, that is an active Rift.
- Spatial Preview: He can show a preview of the space (Pocket A) he will use for the arena through his crystal ball. This crystal ball will store the original space (Pocket B) that is overlayed by the Rift.
- Rift Size: The Rift is spherical in shape, and can have a diameter between 150 ft to 1 mile (45.7m to 1609.3m). The Rift's dimensions, AKA Pocket A's dimensions, can be smaller or larger than Pocket B's dimensions. The boundaries of the Rift are equivalent to Pocket B's space it is overlaying, but inside the Rift you are within Pocket A's full dimensional space. (So once you enter the Rift from the outside, ie. on the arena's floor, you appear within the Rift, AKA Pocket A, just after the edge of Pocket A's space. If Pocket A was a forest, you would appear at the edge of the forest.)
- Rift Contents
- Only creatures & items that enter the Rift from outside will be able to leave the Rift before it closes.
- If Pocket A contains creatures from its original dimension, those creatures will be present when Pocket A is a Rift and accessible through the current dimension-- however they cannot leave, as noted above.
- The state of Pocket A can be altered by creatures entering the Rift & wrecking havoc, and these changes will persist when Pocket A returns to its original dimension.
- What happens inside the Rift can be viewed from outside of the rift in Pocket B's dimension. So the audience & God Eater can still view fights that are taking place from another plane within the Cross Colosseum.
- Alternate Dimension: The dimension that Pocket A comes from will have Pocket A's space blocked by an impenetrable, "invisible" barrier. The barrier will disappear once Pocket A's space is restored to its original dimension.
- Forced Un-Merge: Breaking this crystal ball will forcefully undo the dimensional merge, and take everything within the Rift (Pocket A) back to its original dimension. (Tenki'd be quite annoyed by this, but he can repair the crystal ball for future uses.)
(Please feel free to use this ability to manipulate the arena's terrain and locale to your desires-- whether it be in the sky, in the heart of a volcano, within a dense forest, or even a slice of your competitor's hometown! The sky's the limit!)
Wyrmhole
Unlike the God Eater (and by extension Miss X), who has multiple instances of herself present in all realities simultaneously, there is only one Tenki. He can hop freely between dimensions and alternate realities, traversing the skies of far-off lands with ease. Anything (or anyone) that he is carrying will be carried with him to another dimension.
- This interdimensional traversal is linear to each dimension, meaning that each time he appears in a dimension is chronologically after his previous appearance. (No traveling back in time for him!)
Heaven's Atmosphere
Tenki can manipulate weather conditions with his folding fan. His area of effect can be constrained to a small space the size of a city block, or as large as a sphere with a three-mile diameter. He can cause a sudden thunderstorm, heat haze, sunny day, downpour, etc. with this ability, but he usually utilizes it to give the Crossroads perfect fair-weather days.
Job & Skills
Tenki is Crossroad's Enigmatic Gale-- coming and going as he pleases. He's been tasked with keeping Cross Colosseum fights entertaining, as fighters competing in a plain arena can get repetitious, even for the God Eater. He does his job nonchalantly, especially with location requests like uninhabited forests, lakes, arctic wastes, deserts, and even volcanoes. When asked for a location with relevance to a competitor, he gets a mischievous glint in his eyes and requires proper payment in turn for the favor-- with the disclaimer that whatever happens there cannot be reversed.
Tenki's skills are still developing, as he's not been around nearly as long as the God Eater. He was gifted his tools-- his crystal ball and his folding fan-- by the God Eater to help channel his powers.
Location
When a tournament is running, it is predictable to find Tenki milling about at the Cross Colosseum or the Fox Den. He oversees matches that involve his Spatial Displacement ability from the God Eater's box in the Colosseum.
He can also be found wandering Crossroads by floating in the air, enjoying the sun on his scales as a gentle breeze blows him to-and-fro. The sky is his favorite place to nap.
If his presence is nonexistent, it's likely he hopped dimensions looking for adventure. Whenever he comes back is up to him.
